man!!! i would be so cool if other games uesed the hdd. why can't sony do like xbox hdd. that is the only thing i like xbox for the hdd. what was the point of the 40GB hdd anyway. i bouth mine on the frist day for the midea player and it was not in the box. the only thing i use my hdd for is for socom 2 to play the new level and to save some of the games. sony shoud really start to used the hdd. for the psTwo they can just make a usb hdd. it really will work well. you can also see my point in my review of killzone. http://rr.ps2.ign.com/rr/020/020018.html that game should also use the hdd.

get an HD Loader and save your lense from meltdown :) It does seem like a missed opportunity though. Although the XBOX HD when it first came out sounded more like a gimmick to me. I dunno, maybe i'm the one guy that thought "custom soundtracks?" .....yippee.....

There are games I've read about that didn't get international releases, Japan only, that use the HDD. In the Japanese market the PS2 HDD has been around for a few more years and game developers make better use of it. I'm afraid that the next PlayStation will be released before the US market has enough time to take advantage of the PS2 HDD.

And get HD Loader. It makes the Playstation 2 fun again (:

It's no longer a matter of time - if Sony had any interest in supporting the PS2 HDD, they'd make sure the new slim PStwo worked with it. Might as well kiss it goodbye...
