Messin around with my race car pack (dlc car pack one) and I am having a hard time fitting them into a spot.

I would like PD to unlock the body kits used for these "touring cars" so I can actually put them to use. 500-550 PP level have a few cars already.

If they were made into rm I would get much more use out of them. This applies to people who purchased the pack only of course. I've sent my suggestion their way. Anyone who agrees should follow suit.

No, what he means is instead of having the cars be pre-tuned dealership cars, you instead buy the stock version and take it into GTAuto to have Race modified.

You can then tune them to a lower power level so that the cars are a lower PP value. Because he, like me, probably despises using the Engine "Restrictor" to lower the power on the cars.

I am for making the TC's into RM's as I can see a lot of them being easily in the 500PP zone which is where I like to have my race cars. Instead, all of them ring up in the high 500's and 600's.

They won't do that, the whole reason they called them 'Touring Cars' in the first place was to try and fool people into thinking they're entirely new cars when in fact they are really just RMs. But they wouldn't have sold as well.

Neat idea, I'd love to be able to add the body kits in GTAuto, etc, but I don't expect it will happen, because I agree with this:

PD needs to do this one of these updates, as well as add greatly to the Race Mod list. And at least add more livery templates. Heck, I'd fire up Forza and design some examples using the fantastic Livery Editor in it.

Exactly.

And because of this con, I haven't bought them.

The next time GTP interviews kaz, we really need to grill into him that being left in the shadows can make the game experience very frustrating. Some vocal relay from the studio can do some wonders.

Yes. 👍

I am sure he would smile shrewdly and say "that is something we are definitely looking into thinking about considering for the future".

Guys, this is a racing market cold war, thanks to Microsoft's involvement in it. We haven't heard much at all from T10 about the upcoming content in any Forza game until the E3 prior to the game's release, which is just a few months. Besides, they got burned when they announced all kinds of things which didn't materialize for Forza 2. When it got delayed, and delayed, and items started disappearing from the release notes one by one, the fans had quite a tantrum over it.

Have you guys not noticed how items mentioned in presentations by Kaz concerning the future of Gran Turismo are still mentioned to this day? The period we're living in now, caught in the titanic struggle between T10 and PD, means we're going to get scraps of info strategically released to influence the fans. Forget big expose's of feature promises two years out, as we sometimes saw in previous GT games. However, I kind of like it. It gives me the freedom to make suggestions I'll never reveal except to SONY or select gaming journalists. :D

Great idea. I wholeheartedly approve. Unfortunately, it won't happen.

As I said...every damn thread now it's just you talking about some 🤬 no one but you seems to care about.

Out of the 1083 some odd cars in the game, only 8 are able to be RMed. That is dumb. The newest DLC cars should have come with a RM for them. That way we could pick if we want a stock car or a RM.

I am not fooled. Now quit being silly and unlock them.

Um, what?

Do the TC's really count?

I mean, we all know what they are but do they count toward the total considering they (the base vehicles) can't actually be modified to that standard?

Traditionally PD has made up their own touring cars anyways. These are no exception, they are just named differently. Just note the standard subaru touring car, it is a PD creation that was the precursor to what the TC(?) cars are today.

The cars are semi-spec touring cars not RICE tuners, so you cannot expect to mod them much.
So that is that, they are as they should be.

It would make having racing series with different manufactures more fun.

Well though your number is wrong, I agree with you several cars should be RM and the TCs are the same, either that or make the RM cars TC which ever is easiest. I hope that the 430 and 458 Ferrari, DB9, Ford GT, BMW M3, Lotus Evora, Lambo Gallardo should be made into TC or RMs as well. I like the TCs more so than the RMs.

You realise you can probably duplicate them if they are rmeh?

That might be true but the ZR1 Rm can't be duplicated with an non-rm ZR1 if I'm understanding you correctly.

No, the guy I quoted said he liked the tc better. You can nearly duplicate a tc with a same model rm if it were available. RM are ~5% less weight than a stock with all 3 reductions...the R32 tc is around 10% less than stock+3reductions. RM are equal in hp. The R32 tc has less than 10 hp more than the stock with all the same mods.

The guy you quoted was me also I didn't know this. I'm going from a driver point of view and the cars seem to handle better than RMs right out of the box. To me that is.

Maybe my numbers are wrong but the statement holds true. I for one don't fell as the TC count in the RM's. The TC's seem just a bit better. Most of the DLC seems as it is a bit better in performance then the other Premiums. Too me at least.

As much as I'd like to see this happen Simon is right, it just not gonna happen.

You know, you sound like some sort of stalker or something. ;)

I suppose you were around in 2006 on the Forzamotorsport.net forums, and can correct me that no promises of 12 car races in Forza 2 off- and online were made to Major Nelson by one of the T10 guys, and that there was zilch angst beginning to creep up because no promises were being not so discreetly removed one by one over the months leading up to spring 2007. And that T10 only kidded around briefly about their helicopter, boat and wave modeling they were close to perfecting for their "next big thing," and that no one grew afraid that instead of Forza 3, T10 would be releasing the next Project Gotham or even some helicopter racer. Thanks to all that wide open frankness T10 is known for. Yeah. ;)

Sure, T10 is all kinds of talkative about Forza details a few months before launch, while prior to that is a lot of coy doubletalk. But pretending I'm just making a lot of crap up in every post sure doesn't change history except in your own mind, amirite.

Anyhow, no one knows what PD will do over the coming months, but Kaz does know that not only is race modding a popular and greatly coveted feature, so are selections of bodykits for race modding, as well as the dreaded user made liveries. He's interested in producing all of this, but the liveries in particular have to work with no performance hit. But we're getting DLC a month early, we're getting the periodically asked for Aventador, we're getting a new Test Track, and some other goodies.

Kaz is listening. If you want stuff, don't just post it in here, go to the Feedback Forum and vote on things. I have one suggestion in my link.
