I just noticed that you stick out like a sore thumb in your yellow Integra when everyone else is driving stock-looking Vipers, and 'Vettes. What if in a later patch or GT6, the A.I. drove highly modified, repainted, and body-kitted cars. They could randomly generate, for example:
A green Corvette Z06 with minor body-kits one time, then a purple Z06 with every body-kit installed another time.

What do you think? Should the AI be able to show off their car customizing skills?

They should have cars that are tuned all the way, like gt3, with better driving AI instead of the scary AI

Some of the cars are tuned I think because I'm pretty sure I can recognise the sound of racing exhausts compared to the normal cars. I think its in the extreme championships and higher events that I noticed this but I do believe that some Al do drive slightly modified cars.

AI definitely does use modified cars, but I'm not sure if that's restricted to certain events. Arcade mode I know of for sure. I think this came through an update. When the game first came out, people pointed out that the AI never had tuned cars.

YEAH yay-uhh!

Fix them so they don't follow the driving line, then tune them. But you should have an option in the options menu to allow them to drive tuned cars or not.

Perhaps if there could be actual AI drivers rather than randomly generated names, each driver could have their own tuning personality. Say you get one AI called B.Bob, he just loads on the power and doesn't care much for suspension or tyres. Then you get A.House who tends to make a good all round car that's a couple of seconds faster than the stock model. And then finally I.Ricer, who just spends all his cash at GT Auto.

I like that idea Roj! :dopey:👍

They do use power upgrades in A-Spec, absolutely. I'm not sure about weight but I don't think so. I don't think I've ever seen any bots driving with aero parts added on. It's tough to tell if they have upgraded anything else, other than the transmission which they seem VERY reluctant to change if at all(muscle cars :P ).

I'm pretty sure I've never seen the AI driving a stock 512BB - well, I didn't check their power in the seasonal so maybe. I remember the Gallardo event cars had a bit of extra power(one reason some people find that race difficult, I think). The 4-hour MX-5 race is with heavily power-modded cars, in A-Spec but not in B-Spec - those are stock.

I'm not sure but I think the slower cars in a race often have power added to them, so that they can't keep up a little faster(like the 512BBs).

I don't do enough Arcade racing to know about that.

You can see (and hear) them with the exhaust upgrades on. Every time I enter a Ferrari race they have upgraded exhausts, and as a result, sound terrible.

Never noticed this.

Great point , Imagine instead of idiot AI driver in the Corvette you are up against a dozen ai drivers with names you race against all through a-spec and beyond. J Smith may always get sideways , or A.Mendez might take you out or dive up your inside. M.Schumacer may block you like crazy.

Proper individual driver ai and tendencies.

Has anyone ever had the ai ever pull a move on them ?

Maybe they should add more in the line of "bodywork" that can be done first, then it could be much more interesting.

Yes, it's quite common.
The only thing they add though is exhaust and/or engine stages, literally nothing else ever, if I'm not mistaken, and some use the power limiter, even before we were allowed to use it.

I think it would be easier and better if we could choose what at the AI is driving and add any modifications and select its tires too, for the start of a race.

Yes, in the PD Cup at least. I remember waiting and saving for a Camaro LM racecar just to use for that race since it was on the list, and then when I got it I found out they had cut the AI's horsepower way back. This was after the limiter was added that I raced it however, and I didn't take note of what it was before.

I think this would benefit the GT series.

I think they should drive modified body kit cars, i don't feel right sending a pimped out murcie against a standard ferrari.

Well pay attention then. Try entering a race, any race with upgraded exhaust or similar and see what the competitors happen to be using.

I've got 100+ races on that track and never saw it, on any track.

I am redoing my a spec in untuned cars. Even managed vitz race in unmodified aspec vita prize car tho I did cut corner in fuji What I did not try unmod is sports truck in stock tacoma x runner. My Tacoma x runner has 246 ponies after oil change. The AI has a 370hp Tacoma on the list. I upgrade all hp related parts(cat, manifolds, supercharger, filter, exhaust) and that brings me to 381. point is, it proves some AI may have juz about every hp mod except aero.

I would rather PD let us add bodykits to our cars before the AI. The AI would be saying nana nana boo boo your car looks like poo poo!
