Should the harshness of SR loss be ajusted with the number of laps?

hello everybody ,

as you already know , on races B (my favorites) , a single penalty -even the slightest- will ruin your SR no matter what even with all green sectors , because we have so few laps
on Races C however , many more laps so more possible green sectors so more chances to maintien or upgrade your SR

i think its only fair to adjust SR loss and gains with the number of sectors in a race

Race B penalties could be less severe given its the sprint variety. Race C is more of a feature race.

If you were dirty in 1/10 sectors it’s a bigger part of the race than if you were dirty in 1/20 sectors.

In this example you were dirty twice as often in the short races, and that should be reflected in the SR score.

It'd be nice if the SR penalties on Race C is as harsh as it is on Race A and B :)
Harshness at race c is different to race a and b:confused::confused::confused: IMO with more laps at race c, the cars spread wider and less contact between them as the race goes on. So higher chance to recover the lost Sr. :tup:Checked with my race history, race c did not necessarily mean Sr gain.:odd:

The thing with Race C is that the SR penalties are the same with Race A and B, but with more laps (and therefore more sectors to get an SR up arrow), so while Race C may not always mean an SR gain, the probability of gaining SR is higher. Also the race rewards you with 13 SR for a perfectly clean race compared to 4 in Race B (and maybe A), so it's quite easy to top up your SR again just by driving at the back

It is fair. Currently it works like a proportion system.

Can't agree more. Race C should also yield max 5 SR for a clean race. Race C can actually get you up to 26 SR for a clean race. Kyoty+Yamigawa a few days ago for example. Brand's hatch was 22 points in GR.3 in a daily C, perhaps it was even more yesterday with the extra laps in GR.2.

The big SR pool invites a dirty first 2 laps and chaos in standing starts. Keep the penalties the same, make it harder to gain SR. It's too easy to regain SR in a daily C and now the penalties seem to have been a bit relaxed as well.

The idea that more accidents are fine for more laps is dumb. It should be the other way around as you're messing up a longer race. The free pass to do whatever you want on L1 in a daily C needs to go.
