my mom wants a Supra..... i found 2..... one is a salvage title and the other is a rebult.... the salvage one is a automatic with 600hp.... the other one is a manuel with moderate tune..... my moms plan with it is to drive it for a while and then give it to me later..... any sugestions on if i should get it???

WTF?! I prefer the other one (with moderate tune), because it is a better car to start with and you don't even know if the 600hp Supra is heavily abused or not. And if you love Drifting, I'll stick with the stick.

You dont want either. Salvage and rebuilt cars should not be dealt with unless you are looking for problems.

Both sound horrible. Cars that have been wrecked and have undesirable titles generally have been abused to hell. Those arent the kinds of cars you want to be buying your mom.

The day I decide I hate my mom, and want her to die, would be the same day I buy her a 600hp Supra(or 600hp anything).

Find one with really high mileage, or something.

but hers the thing josh.... it my father whos buying it..... hes buying it because my moms want a supra and if the get one, in a year or so tey will give it to me... so im askin suggestions on if witch u would buy or if u kno anywhere in the west coast that i can buy one in good condition...

dont buy salvaged anything, its just not worth it

A MKIV Turbo is an exception to this. (Depending on price/damage)

If you can get ahold of a Salvage title Supra TT for a decent price, that's been repaired, or that doesn't have a substantial ammount of damage, you can make your money back 2-fold.

true..... there both turboed the one thats 600 hp the dealership is asking $15,000 but its in pritty bad bod shap because it was salvage. the other one is like 350 hp witch is in really good condition but there askin $21,000 but there willin to bargain.... what would u suggest

auto+600hp=trouble

get a naturally aspirated car. Still got a fair amount of power, wont scare your mother ****less and is cheaper to insure. BTW if you want an NA take a look at the Soarer with the same engine. Supra=fun, Soarer=luxury and sensibility

no but the the thing is it has to be turbo, because im not just buying it to have it, im buying it to use it for like a cruzier with a very mean attitude=sleeper..... if i was looking for a N/A i would just buy a Nsx...... but since i want a supra i would just go for a is300......

YOur a ****ing retard. 600hp is great! who cares, just fix it later if something goes wrong, and if it is a pile of junk, screw somebody else over. By the way, you ma would actually give you a huge-horse car? :odd:

Um do you even have a car? If you do then you should know thats a VERY bad idea. Why the hell would you buy a 600 Hp car that will cost you an arm and a leg to insure, and spend more time in the mechanics shop than driving on the street? It's not fun when a car costs more to fix than you paid for it. Not to mention that teens have a very heavy foot. Sure they all think they'll be ok, that they wont push it to far, but face it if you have 600 HP to play with you're going to want to play with it and I'd bet a skyline that you couldn't handle it when it starts to lose controll. Learn from expirience, My freind had a 9 second street legal supra as his first car. do you want to know what happend? He ended up in the hospital and the supra ended up in a junk yard totaled. If I were you I'd go buy a honda and save your money.

I totally agree, it will be very hard to control any car around 600hp especially when your just starting out. Just like GTR_guy said you cant handle all that power. I would start out with a low HP car. Buying your mom a 600hp Supra is the same thing as wanting her to get hurt really bad. My mom cant drive that good as it is. A 600hp car would be killer. Not alot of people drive 600hp car and over as their daily car because thats just crazy. Maybe for track or curcuit thats all i could think of. I wouldnt go with the 600hp if i were you.

Hell most people can't even handle their 90 HP civics. :irked:

Sorry, misssed the part about his first car. BUT I know that a Supra with that kind of power is too good to pass up. There some things you can do that will lower repair costs and if you find a stable job with good pay, i garuntee the insurance will be well worth it. :D

Another point I'd like to make is that unless the owner has dyno charts to prove it nothing's stopping him from making stuff up.

SkylineGTR has a point, and i'm 16 and I have enough sense to know that a car over about 130-150 hp as your first car is just bad **** waiting to happen. And salvage titles are also just trouble.

your mom is willing to buy a 600hp supra? damn how old is she? 27?... my mom is scared to death about driving my 155hp 240... no offense but you sound like a spoiled kid who absolutely needs to do himself a favor and start small :irked:
