I wonder if Der Nurburgring will ever be widened. Most of the track is nearly impossible to pass cleanly and not put a wheel on the grass, and there is nearly no runoff space available. I mean, it's great for hot laps and fine-tuning setups, but for actual *racing*? No. Seems obvious to me... or is it just me? Really?
 
Nurburgring is the best track in the world, its perfect like it is. You have lot of places to pass other cars. Cant see the problem..

Yup, problem is not the track, it's people trying to pass where they shouldn't be trying to pass. Everyone just seems to try and pass at the first opportunity rather than waiting for the correct opportunity.
 
Cars are a lot wider now. A 2017 F1 race there would be hilarious. Passing/overtaking is already an issue on the wide pristine tracks they race on.
 
No relation to GT Sport.
