The engines (motor in the case of Tesla) are the heart of these cars. So let's show them off. I'll start.

    1953 Fiat 8V Supersonico. It's a sweet little 1996cc 70° V8. I love the gold headers.

1973 Nissan Skyline GT-R S20 engine. 1989cc, 160 hp inline-6, a straight development of the GR8 engine used in the Prince R380 race car. The S20 and S30 engines were fitted to the GT-B sedan, both the hakosuka and kenmeri Skyline GT-Rs and the Fairlady R432. One of the truly great Japanese engines.

1968 Lancia Fulvia Coupé Rallye 1.6 HF. I love this engine. It's 1584cc and produces 132 hp making it the most powerful Fulvia engine. It's a narrow-angle V4 set at a bizarre 12°53'28" angle. Despite being a V, the cylinders are cast n a single block, and the engine is tilted at 45° for a lower hood. Whether the engine is double-overhead cam or single-overhead cam is entirely how you look at it. There are only two cams compared to four in a typle DOHC V-engine so it should be considered a SOHC engine, but one cam operates the intake valves and the other operates the exhaust valves, just like on a DOHC engine. The cams operate the valves on the near cylinder directly and on the far valves through rocker arms. What all this accomplishes is an engine much shorter than an inline-4, but much narrower than a V-4. This is about as compact as a four cylinder engine can get.

1984 Opel Manta 400. Opel commissioned 245 DOHC 16 valve heads from Cosworth to fit on their 2-liter 4-cylinder block. It didn't produce enough power to make it competitive. Since the heads were already made, Opel did a little Frankenstein engineering. They overbored the block, fitted the crankshaft from the 2.3 liter diesel engine, put the Cosworth head on it and ended up with a 2.4 liter engine that was very competitive.

Adding the 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. I find this to be one of the most beautiful cars in the game, with an engine to match.

1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial. Despite how it looks, it's a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine from Ferrari, just about the rarest engine they've ever built. They decided to try it because the 4-cylinder had better torque than a V12 of the same size, which would be especially helpful when accelerating out of corners on tight race tracks.

1970 International Harvester Scout 800A. The game doesn't specify, but this is clearly a V8. IH offered a V8 in two sizes: 266 cid (4.4 L) and 304 cid (5.0 L). Despite AMC also offering a 304 V8 at the same time, the IH 304 is not an AMC engine. This being Forza, I'm betting this is the larger of the two engines. Considering the sort of hard work and abuse these engines saw, I doubt any IH engine bay looked this good for long.

One of my favorite cars - especially after seeing these beasts in person during the Pirelli World Challenge races at Long Beach and Sonoma. Hearing the grunt of the Bentley engine reverberating off the tall buildings around Long Beach is quite an experience.

I don't know that much about BMWs in general, but the sound of a BMW straight 6 is music to the ears. This is the 3.8 litre from the 1995 M5, a car which in my opinion has aged really well, a timeless design.
