I believe it is only available in America, but i live in europe and bought it in europe, whilst gamefaqs tells this game comes out in March

Sorry Jim, haven't played that game yet. I must say the drifting phychics are awesome. Racing needs getting used to.

Ahh man. I hate the extremely fake physics engine in this game. Good lord please make it a little more realistic. Basically its like a hack and slash physics engine out of a need for speed game. Very arcade feel. No sense of weight transfer. Blah and blah i could go on but whats the point, everyone loves it i see....lol.

What were you expecting out of a game named after the FnF movie franchise?

As an arcade game, especially one with such an inauspicious name, it's surprisingly good. The easiest way to describe it is "Street Racing Syndicate 2," which is what it is, more or less. Same development team and everything, with a tweaked version of SRS's game engine.

The physics, specifically in the realm of drifting, actually make some sense, but are gimped by some goofy inertia/momentum imbalances that make things difficult at times, especially with certain cars. The huge width of the mountain courses reflects this inadequacy.

Because of this, the Wangan-style racing is where this game shines. Some of the cars can even reach 270mph when fully-tuned... Between the Wangan half of the game, the above-average customization, and the decent car selection, I think this game is worth spending time on. Worth the $40 it demanded at release? Eh...not so much. :indiff:

See if you can find a copy for $15 or so, Jim Prower.

Used at the local GameStop. got it.

Probably get D1GP '05 first.

D1GP...i bought it and sold it 3 weeks later. Its not horrible, but i would not buy it at full price for sure. Kinda hard to keep long drifts and link in it. Still have the .iso of it though in case i want to get pissed off again one day:sly:

Well that's put me off it for good. SRS is one of the worst racers I have ever played.:yuck:

extremely fake and basically terrible, sounds like the film then

Guys, there's an FNF Tokyo drift topic too. Please stick to the topic, and judge my rides or place your own.

I've made a replica of the FnF Tokyo Drift Evo, but this one's on a Evo X Concept, tell me what you think!

Only flaw is the fact that there aren't any TOYO TIRES decals in this game. So i had to put other ones on the skirt.

From what i could see in the photo (really blurry man) looks like a good replica model. I used to do scale models allot, but when i did them i went all out. I would spend a good 3 months on one alone. Doing things as making plug wires, cutting out doors, hoods, trunks to make them workable. Really dont have the time anymore for it. And just to give F&F Tokyo Drift another chance, i will be getting another copy just to see. My main problem with it was it was just too easy, never had a slight problem totally whipping the AI. And no didn't play it for only ten minutes. I played for at least a total of 25 hours.
