Shuffle racing App

Hi! I don't play online in GT6, I played a bit in GT5 and I loved Shuffle races. Now as all of you know we can't anymore, so I am thinking to create an app for Android to help play Shuffle races again. The main idea is that you select a PP range and the app choose a random car in that range like in GT5. If you want the app can choose 16 cars so it only needs that one person have the app and not all people in the room then you have to tell other people the results (works best with friends). Before I start to work to it I want to know if anyone is interested. What do you think? Feel free to ask me more.

Your idea is very good, but I think that when you are playing it's more common and practical to have your phone near you instead a computer.

Absolutely.
Best case would be to have something that can be accessed both from the phone and PC.
 
The idea is good and in fact I've thought about it too, but to make it work is not easy, because people still need to have all these random cars, its very hard for 10 or more random players to have them all (the list of random cars in shuffle)
 
It's sounds like a great idea. How many cars would the app Shuffle through? We'd need to have all of them in our garage, so it couldn't be more than 500. Also, you would need to input drivers finishing positions from the last race in order to determine the cars for the next. Could be time consuming for whoever is running the room.

I wish PD would fix their game already, instead of people having to make apps & features that should already be included (*cough* GTP Tuning database).

The cars will be sorted in different class(300pp, 400pp, 500pp...) so if you want to race with the 500pp cars you only need to have those cars. However I will add the possibility to customize the cars that are choosen so you can race only with the cars that you own. Finally, to avoid to input the players positions after the race the app will show a list of positions with the assigned cars: 1st - Shelby Cobra, 2nd Ferrari F40, 3rd Nissan GT-R... so the fastest players will have the slowest cars. Do you think it could work?

Yes, it probably would work with a lot of hard work put into it. But what if you spent ages getting it working, & then PD added Shuffle in an update! :ouch:

And this is actually contradictory to the whole point of shuffle racing, which is supposed to be quick, easy racing with no preparation, thinking or planning. I'm not trying to poo-poo on the idea posted here, :cheers: for be willing to put in the effort. But it's one of those things that makes you :banghead:, something that was so simple and used by so many now can only be done with great effort and with a group of dedicated and prepared players.

@Matteo05, good luck with the app. We need people like you to pick up PD's slack, unfortunately. 👍
