I've seen this happen to others and myself a bunch of times. Usually British, german and Spanish people who speak in a derogatory manner towards people with other nationalities and then kick them.

If you are such..you should label your room "euro only" or german only, whatever country you feel is superior.

I hate wasting time joining a room, setting up a car, going to race and getting kicked because my flag isn't euro. It's a shame people like these exist.

Label your rooms, please

I don't care if you're racist or whatever you are, But I do care about my time.

It really is.
You don't know if this person is a clean driver, but you still kick them because of where they are from.
If someone is from Hungary, they can't help it and it's not their fault.
If someone is from Japan, it's not their fault either.
You can't judge someone's racing etiquette by where they are from.

I hate this as well. The worst part is, you see rooms like "UK ONLY, no dirty Insert ethnic minority here"

There's just no need for it :grumpy::grumpy:👎👎

Isn't a lot of it because they only want people who can speak english/german/whatever the nationality of the host. Admitedly no need for the derogatory terms if these are happening, but it is annoying as a host when people join whos language you can't speak - and they start having a conversation over microphone constantly.

I haven't seen much on GT5, on the likes of COD and such I have seen a lot.

One that I do remember was on COD WAW so a couple of years ago, there was a youngish kid in the room and an older american was calling him every racist name you can think of, how he could tell what race he was I don't know but then again he started calling everyone racist names when the kid left.

Some people have nothing better to do and when they have got less braincells than an amoeba they don't understand that really there is only one race in the human race. 👍

Have to agree 110%

I sometimes get some abuse in UK/American/Euro rooms because of my flag.

Usually, they don't know how to drive anyway.

They usually kick me if they get their a**es handed by a "Paki terrorist"

That doesn't make sense to me either. If I don't understand em, i mute em. Thats why that options there.

I don't see a problem here. I kick euro's from my rooms all the time. I want to race against aus/nz only. That doesn't make me a racist and if some random spaniard kicks me I won't sook about it.

internet is serious business

If you want to race against Aus/Nz only, put it in the Room title. I will not join a room which says "Euros only" or similar. The fact that GT5 redirects me to the main page each time I get dis***nected is apparently not enough.

I don´t like the community lobby mode in sum. Every kind of user is represented.

Sometimes it happens that you get kicked without a reason and in most cases, you have dumb wreckers on server which are not interested in clean driving.

I never had a clean and fair race on any server, so the best idea is to make your own lobby and invite friends.

Also, a negative aspect is the missing feature of saving your lobby/server settings. Every time you start a server, you have to set the options again.

You should label your room as aus/nz only.

From the BUL:
Anes - 26th January 2011 - Despite being kept on Last Chance status - the nicest version of banned that we have - for over a month, the message just did not sink in with his constant attacks on other members and trolling in various threads. Perhaps you didn't believe us when we told you that you would be kept on a short leash, but rest assured, a thirty-day ban ought to drive the point home. For your sake, we hope it does - because next time, the ban will be permanent.
That's not the most insightful way of thinking.

You don't have to waste everyone else's time by decieving them into entering an unlabeled room, then kicking them again:rolleyes:

Its funny cause I was born in UK so I got the UK flag even though I'm not exactly british (more jamaican).
All the UK players let me into there rooms and as soon as I mention I'm jamaican or black I usually get kicked or into a racist argument.

I'm just a simple man from Texas, but the only barrier I see is the language one. Anyone from another country is cool with me as long as we communicate the rules of the game to each other and we understand how we want to race. Other differences are purely political and are B.S. as far as I'm concerned. If you don't like other people's countries, you can go to hell.

i think most people want to play with people that can communicate in native language.
Also most people are just lazy so they don't use AUS/NZ only.

That is internet for you.

Maybe people (host) have the right to play with who they want (is his room...), but it never happened to me.
I glad that I found a mate online that plays very well and we make awesome races together. We are always 1st/2nd, he with his Pagani Zonda R and I with my GT by Citroen Concept Car:)
Maybe is just bad luck you guys have, but instead of complaining, just start your own room. Easy

Creating your own room, seems to me to be the best remedy. When it comes to understanding racism....my answer has always been...FEAR. Weak Men: Hate what they can't conquer and Fear what they don't understand. GT5 is for entertainment. Though it never fails, Parasites at their best....Are still Parasites.

The fins are worst, I'm british, I joined there room, got filled with abuse, challenged, I won, they kicked me because I'm british

Once they hear my voice and find out im black the racism starts wtf this is 2011?

Internet anonymity is so cool to them because theres no consequence but just good humor with their buddies.

No, it makes you Xenophobic. Why don't you want to race against anyone from outside Aus/NZ?

It's just stupid to kick people because of where they're coming from.
Happens all the time. :guilty:

Or, getting kicked because you're quicker with a slower car than what the host or his friend has.

You think I should be banned because I told you to

??

lolk good luck with that.

For the record, I can kick whoever I want from my room without any reason if I feel like it. Just because I post on this website doesn't mean I have to race against people from different continents. In fact, if by some miracle someone from the Maldives joins my room (unlikely as I hardly ever touch the game now) I'm going to kick them on sight and send them a message saying that's it's zedextreme8177's fault. Why? For teh lulz.
