Sig. Permissions?

I wanna include a quote (pretty funny) in my sig, but down the bottom says:

Allow Size BB Code Yes Allow Font BB Code Yes
Allow Alignment BB Code No Allow List BB Code No
Allow Link BB Code Yes Allow HTML No
Allow Image BB Code No
Allow Code BB Code No Allow PHP BB Code No
Allow HTML BB Code No Allow Quote BB Code No
Allow Smilies Yes
Can Upload Images for Signature No
Can Upload Animated GIF for Signature No

Do you have to be a Premo to get some of this stuff, and to be a Moderater or Super Mod to get even more stuff?

Text only sigs give the forum a cleaner, more professional look.

In short, either copy/paste the quote into your sig or if it's too long, link to it.

i've seen some people with quotes in their sigs.

a6m5 has a quote in his sig but that's because he hasn't changed his sig since the no quote tags rule went into effect. Others, I'm sure, are in the same boat.

As TB mentioned, you could insert quote tags into your signature several years ago. When the forum software that I used introduced the functionality to prohibit that, I enabled the option, but the policy was not retroactive so if a quote tag already existed in their signature, it was not removed. If they try to edit or update their signatures, however, they will be required to remove the quote.

Alignment was taken away quite a long time ago. I still have yet to change my sig because of its removal.

I just didn't like the way it looked, with signatures all over the place.

That makes sense. Centering the text works well with small Sigs like Spocks and probably mine but I can see it looking horrible with quad-line smiley filled ones, not that I have anything against those particular sigs, but alot of smilies over the whole width of the screen does look untidy.

Agreed, I like the fact that Jordan has put in such limitations to keep it nice and clean. Its just another element that puts GTP to the top of forums. That and the great people here, you hardly ever see any type of annoying behavior such as "flame wars" or horrible slang type words and such I try to keep my sig decent for the most part, try.
