Welcome to the 1st Annual GT-300 Racing Series for the Gran Turismo 2 platform. This is the first series of this kind of racing in along time. This series will be going thru some of my personal favorite tracks in GT2.

This series is going to be a Team Effort. Only going to be 2 per team.

Theres no limit on the numbers of drivers choosing the same
car.

Rules

Yes, there's rules. I hope for everyone racing in this series are supposed to know they are expected to drive clean. We are going to run under the GranTurismo.com OLR Guidelines. If you dont know the GranTurismo.com OLR Guidelines, then please read the OLR Guidelines.

There is no excuse to break the rules.

This is not going to be a DEX series. NOTE:You will need to save your fastest run just for proper details later.

You must have two wheels on something paved at all times. This includes the curbs, rumbles strips and the two paved sections on the inside of the curbs at any track on this series.

Cheating

Cheating is not allowed. I know what these car are capaible of running. So don't try to pull at fast one on me because you will be caught and reported to the OLR Mods. For everyone that don't know anything about cheaters on GranTurismo.com OLR. Please read, The Offical GTF On-Line Cheaters List. Don't end up on it!

Our scoring is going to be based on the NASCAR Point System.

3. Laguna Seca Raceway, Deadline Monday January 6th, Noon Eastern Time

5. Autumn Ring, Deadline Monday January 20th, Noon Eastern Time

All races are your fastest lap in Time Trial, unlimited runs.

What happened to the muscle car challenge you made? I ran the race and submitted times and specs and all that but SOMEONE did'nt follow thru with their challenge. Thus I'm hesitant to commit to this challenge tho it sounds tempting. What assurances are there that this will not be like the previous muscle car challenge?
 
well if i got about 10 or more members from any of the granturismo.de granturismo.com and gtplanet.net. then it will be a go. just hopeing for 10+ members. i have a big plan to do.
 
Well I can see your point and lol almost understand why the no follow thru with the muscle car challenge,but my thing is ,even if there are only a few who participate, if the challenge reaches it,s final conclusion,others who may have thought about participating would be more inclined to do so with the next challenge. As it is now, it seems no-one will join a challenge because so many other challenges have petered out before the final results can be made. Participation in simple easy challenges seems very poor here, now if it had more rules and regs who knows,I assume it's likewise at similar sites. Your challenge is cool ,I like it. Why does there have to be 10 plus people I don't know. I've posted a few challenges myself, simple 5 lap arcade challenges with a twist, a couple people entered and we had a prettyy good time with them. I'll keep my eye on your challenge and hope it takes off. good :) luck
 
I am willing. However, I have ample "free time" due to my job only requiring 36 hours (3 twelve hour shifts) a week. Most of the Planeteers have daily obligations that give them very limited time to run these.
If it takes off, I am in.
If not try to run it again in the summer. :D

BTW can I run alone or do I need to try to recruit a team member?
 
thanks, will im guessing that if we are close to 10 members or alittle below we can still run for the fun of it.
 
hey, my gt2 disc is messed up so i havent played it in almost 2 years. i have been playing gt3 recently though. if i can get my gt2 disc working with that dvd doctor thing, hahahahah, than i would be glad to join you. or i might be able to copy it to another disc and try it. the only thing is i will have to get used to using a dual shock without analog buttons.
 
ps - this thread hadn't been responded to in 4 months until you brought it from dead. I think its safe to say that this series is dead. :(
 
oh.. i hadn't noticed that! LoL... it was close to the top so i just guessed it was new :(
