Sileighty Fun!

i cant stand the sileighty s13 or s15. the 180sx has body lines made for flip lights and the whole car loses its structure when you dump silvia headlights on to them. the s13 is mean for the s13. i hate seeing s13 lights or s15 lights slapped onto s13's. wanna know why it annoys me so much? because thats a conversion that takes over $1k of parts and it doesnt even make your car go faster. the only way id like a sileighty is if it was fully setup with all the perfect components.


ok this post is getting kinda long and i doubt you guys would care much about my babbling so im done:)
 
well 1k is a lot cheeper than the 3k they are asking for a 180 front end, so it is better to swap when wrecked, thats how it all started (read sig) kids in japan where smashing thir fornt ends on thoge races and it was cheeper to put a silvia front end (and basicly effortless). This started a trend, ofcorse, but still, it is functional(to your wallet anywho).

so please dont knock unless ya know...

180 front ends arent cheap. they come with the car. unless you wanna go all kouki, then you can easily find knock off bumpers for 2-300 us dollars. maybe in japan there are more silvias than 180s, but here in america, the 180 front end is on both fastback and coupe so theyre plentiful.

i dislike fliplights, but it just looks so right on 180sx's.

Actually the 180sx and silvia have almost identical front cones.That's why they're so easy to swap. The body lines are identical as well. When you look at their blueprints, you'd think the noses are from the same car. The only difference is the headlights of course. Same with Levin and Trueno.

Factory sileightys are really rare BTW, in auctions they sell them for around the same price as R34s.
The factory sileighty has an improved exhaust system, sportier suspension and some enhanced electronics.
