I need it to be confirmed that the Sileighty is going to be in Gran Turismo 4. This is by far my favorite drift car, and i searched through Gran Turismo 2 for about 12 hours straight just for the awe-inspiring Sileighty. If anybody has a pic or screenshot of the Sileighty in GT4, i would love to see it. Thank you.

I think anyone who wants to drift an Aston Martin Vanquish deserves to be flogged repeatedly...

God, that Sil-80 is a ugly peice of ****. I can't stand it, it likes odd. I'll even put in the smily in here too. :odd:

i want to see a strawberry face 180 now

But I don't understand what makes the Sil-80 so popular. It has a S13 front with a RPS13 back....whoop-de-do.

The Aston Martin Vanquish is a luxury sports car for crying out loud. In real life its impossible to drift that heavy thing.

It has to do with the balence and the engine. the Sileighty is so popular because it was made by drifters for drifters in Japan. Plus, it has a SR20DET engine, which gives it some sweet power.

nope, you can drift any car. You just need the right settings. C'mon, Darin, don't be stupid!

What does Flogged mean? C'mon, man, speak American!!! The Aston is a great drift car, in GT3, i just use a full weight removal. The things slides like a cat.

Also wrong. S13's and 180sx's both had the CA18DET at one time, then they both came out with the SR20DET. The Sileighty has nothing to do with the engine. You woudn't have to swap out the entire front end anyway just to swap engines.

The Sileighty came about back in the day when 180sx drivers would get front end damage. It was more exspensive to buy a 180sx front end than a Silvia frontend.

You could drift a Mercedes-Benz SLR if you had the right settings too, but I'd consider you an absolute moron for attempting to do so. Same applies to a $250,000 luxury sportscar.

I forgot to mention why they chose a Silvia frontend. Obviously when something breaks on your car you usually don't replace it with parts from another car.

The Silvia and 180sx are pretty much the same car except for the body style. The S13 front end matches right up.

I think he was referring to the Sil80's made by 'Kid's Heart.' They were the only "Official" Sil80's (They weren't Nissan made, but they were Nissan approved..whatever that means.) and they did in fact come with an sr20det.

But, you're right. The sr20det isn't the reason they're popular. It's still just a 180sx with an s13 front. The popularity is in the novelty aspect and the historical aspect. I happen to think that some look awesome and many look horrible.

Yeah, the Sil-eighty is awesome. Also, I can't wait to drift the Fairlady. Yummy!

if I had the chance to get my hands on a $250,000 "luxury sportscar" i'd make sure to drive the hell out of it.

yeah, i mean, people who buy some Enzo and never drive it is stupid. What you do is you drive it and at the same time, take good care of it. Change the oil/filter regularly, tune-ups, check-ups, and wheel rotation. Its not that hard people!!!

Yeh, it's ironic, isn't it? You pay more money on something that drives better, only to drive it less.
