Anyone play these games?
For those who don't know, Silent Hunter is a series of submarine simulations set in WW2.
Silent Hunter 3 is considered to be the definitive title, followed by 4 and 5.
(3 and 5 are set as a U-boat captain in the Atlantic, in 4 you command a US Navy fleet boat in the Pacific.)
I just picked up SH4 and wow are there a lot of task forces.
Stumbled upon one just off of Luzon early in 42 and managed to sink 2 fleet carriers and an escort carrier.
I'll probably get one of the excellent community mods to fix some of the games shortcomings.
I'm looking at you, constant air patrols 500km from nearest land...
