Silverstone lock up

Has anyone else experienced this? I try to do any race on Silverstone (online, seasonal, or single player) and my game locks up when it tries to start it. I just press the green start flag and it sits there and tries to load. It will let me back out, but when I back out one step further, it locks up in the loading screen for around 5 minutes. I can play replays of the track, but it takes about 5 minutes to load them. When I do get into the replay it has severe graphic glitches in the form of the flat ares of the ground being missing.

It's a pretty new playstation slim (less than a year old) so I don't think that's the problem. I used to have no problems with that track. Rest of the game plays just fine.

Thoughts?
 
Another question for others to be able to help you would be what version of GT6 are you running? ie. Normal or 15th Anniversary? Disc or Digital?

I ended up finding the problem eventually after reinstalling the entire game only to see it didn't fix it.


I pulled the disc out and it had a small speck on it. I had to laugh as I wiped it away and the game ran perfectly again. Odd error to get for dirt.

Happens too often.

One time my game froze after I painted a car, it was a fingerprint!
