hey i just got sim city 4 and i need help in getting loads of cash. I did that cheat where you get all the money making rewards and hold the right mouse button when placing them, but that only makes my mayor rating go into the red, even though im getting about $30,000 a month in income. can someone help? oh and what's the best area to zone e.g. 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, etc.

Sim City isn't a game you just blow through and beat in a couple of days. You will be in debt for at least the first 10 or 20 years of your city.

The block tile system doesn't work anymore with Sim City 4. Using 6x6 will actually hurt your city in the long run, unlike in previous Sim Cities. The Sims will only go out 3 tiles away from a road to build, so figure out a system that works for your city.

If they go out 3 tiles then you can build 6x6 right?

This game is ubelievably hard (to me atleast), especially if your trying to get sky scrapers and stuff. I havent been able to get any.. Actually, i take that back. I've been able to get a few residential sky scrapers, but only a few tiny commercial ones. I lost everything i had for this game as far as regions and cities and stuff because of my last format, which makes me quite angry, but there was nothign i could do about it.

Computers... Bah.

If it were that simple you could go from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen and six wide, so long as roads were on each side. There's a lot more to it than that. And besides, some of the bigger buildings require bigger zoning.

i was never in debt in the 1st 10-20 years...
i knew how to save money and limit my spending, and i put in skools, utilities at like 10,000 pop.

what i did was spend like 20 grand (u start out with 100 g's)
and go back to the region and start a new city...
