well i have run mobil 1 in all my somewhat high mileage cars with no issues, i have run 10w30 in my old MKII golf which had 250k plus, i ran it in my 1977 porsche 924 (only 64k or something), and i also ran it in my bimmer which probably has close to 150k with no issues whatsoever (not mine anymore, now my brothers).
personally i say do it, but if you're too scared then don't.
