I'd like PD to add an audible signal of some kind when the host starts the countdown to the race.
God forbid I get up to get a beer or take a leak and screw everyone up by missing the race start.
Seems like it should be a simple addition.
Can't say as I've heard the music during the countdown to hear whether it changes.
Surely they can't think that enough people will leave the music on while online for that to be sufficient. If you have a mic, just coming into a room with either of those two god-awful songs blaring over it is probably giving you at least a 10% chance of being kicked right away.
To the main topic, yes it would be really nice if they could add a "sound effect" for people who are away and/or a message that can somehow show for those in the garage and thus in either case can't see chat/the track window. Good hosts with mics will generally say something, but not all hosts are good and not all good hosts have active mics. And some people mute all voice chat as a matter of course as well. None of these things should exclude you from knowing it's time to get to the track and your seat.
Agreed... A simple thing to add and it would improve the online component. I rarely use my mic for a variety of reasons. A countdown sound would get the attention of those who are tuning, away or not paying attention.
