I remember how GT2 gave you a car every time you won a special league race - that was awesome! Now, GT3 only gives you a car one you beat all of the races in a specific group, and you can only win one car per league. :irked:
And in GT2 you got money soooo fast later in the game. I don't mind starting out slow, but in GT3 you never really get rich unless you play alot. I'm looking for 5 lap, 50,000cr. payouts like GT2! (how am i ever gonna expirience all of the cars in GT4 w/o cheating or playing in for many many years?!?!)
Also, tires in GT3 wear out WAY, WAY TO UNREALISTICALLY QUICK. :banghead: Supersofts disintegrate after 5 corners - WTF?!?!? It made more than 5 lap races not fun at all.
Well, here's what i wanna see in GT4:

*Drift League
*Various Rally classes (at least two, like street car and group N)
*Drag Race league
*Beginner, Amatuer, Professional GT sim modes
*Sportcompactcar event races

Also i hope the analog speedometers are going to be calibrated more accurately. And also, please please get rid of the "suggested gear" indicator - i've become dependent on it almost! And also kill the shift light; id rather do it old school by sound.

Well, i could go on and on, but we can only hope for the best.

Hi and welcome to GTP first of all.

GT3 have improved the car situation quite good if i may say. GT2 had a heck of a lot more cars then what GT3 have got so i think its reasonable to win less cars in GT3 then in GT2.
The money is good as it is though. I would rather wish for LESS money/race then more. I mean, after u have gone through sim mode, u got loads of cash to spend on cars and u also got many cars that u might not want so u can sell them aswell. :p
I dont think u should reconsider cheating though and yes u will probably be playing it for many years. I know i will.

Tires wearing out? Have u tested using harder tires? :S
If not, do so.
It looks like the speedometers will be redone for GT4 (GT4-P had new anyway so hey, why not), not that i have been having any troubles with it anyway but if its improving for the better, Yum!

Ohh.. And u might wanna do something about your sig. No more then eight lines if im correct.

Regards and once again welcome.
//Eddie.

Edit: Spelling.. :S

Welcome to GTP. I have to say I found GT2 dissapointing in the way it was laid out, it was still a fantastic game but far too easy to get rich, I think I had the escudo on the third day I had it, once you've got that the games was almost over in a way. I think GT3 has it almost spot on, I didn't like how easy it was in GT2 to get the cars, 5 laps and you got 50,000Cr and the Speed 12, I want to have to work hard for that special car I've set my sights on. And if you did that race again you sold the Speed 12 and got 550,000Cr, wheres the challenge, GT2 was a killer game but it wasn't structured anywhere near as good as GT3. Also as BAZZ said, hard tyres. The longer the race, the harder the tyres.

But still in GT3, the life of the tyres is just plain unrealistic.
I mean:
e.g.1.
Seattle endurance race. To make this a fair test In used the Camaro Z28. Nothing changed except a bit more power (like 50bhp more) so I could keep up with the Z06 down the straight and hard tyres. By the 10th lap, they were mashed. I've seen the FIA GT championship down at brands and it was a 4 hour race. All the cars which made scheduled pit stops, only had one pit stop. They stopped to change tyres and fuel after 2 hours :odd: . I know it's not a fair comparrison, but the tyre life is just too low in GT3, and in all of them if I can remember correctly.
Another example e.g.2. Formula One race at midfield. I know you can only get one tyre. But you need to make a pitstop after 10 laps :odd: . In real formula 1 races at some circuits they can go up to 30 laps without having to stop for tyres.

I agree with the tyres to a degree, what GT4 needs to do is mark the Soft tyres as qualifying tyres, and extend the life of the super hards.

Yeah GT2 was too easy to win cars & money. Where as I think GT3 might have been a little harsh, although I'd prefer GT3 style money/prize car frequency.

Imo the best balance of how much money you win/cars you win is still the original GT :)

Except for the fact in the original GT ever prize car sold for a max of 12,000

I disliked the prize car and the low prize credits of GT3 in the beginning, but now I love it. You could go farther with a car in GT3 compared to a car in GT2. In GT2, you needed to upgrade your car sooner in order to win in the next race.

I've been playing GT2 for a while now, and it's much to easy to get a good car. I tink it was something like 8 or 9 races, and you would be awarded with a really fast, or high priced car. GT3 made you work for that money.

I prefer GT3's style of prize frequency and car pricing.

Yup - you have to work to build up a good garage of cars, but surely that makes the prizes all the sweeter!

hi and welcome

I'd like somewhere inbetween tbh, where you upgrade your car every once in a while when it really needs it. I also love winning cars, I think they changed it in GT only because it had alot less cars. I expect GT4 will be more like GT2 in this respect. Agree on the point about tyres too.

I think for the bigginer leage you should get about $20 000-$50 000 for one race, Amature you should get $40 000 and above, Pro you should get $100 000 above, Rally the same as pro and in endurance you should be getting $10 000 000 and above for a race.

I also think the tires should last longer because in enduro's you sometimes have to pit every 5-10 lap's.

I would also like to see a Le man's series with only endurance race's...with more realistic tire wear:)

20.000-50.000 for beginner league? You would have enough money for the best cars in a couple of hours. Can't see the fun in that.I think you should have to work extra hard for credits eg $500 for each race in beginner league,to keep the suspence alive. IMO of course. :)

Kind of gets rid of the whole, work for the best cars thing doesn't it. If it was like that it would ruin the game. I want it to be hard to earn big bucks so that every new car I buy for a long time is an important purchase, I don't want the prize cars flying at me after every race or two either like in GT2, I want to have to work for the prize cars so I value them as well.

Totally agree - I'd personally like it to be even harder to obtain new cars than in GT3 (or at least make the really special cars ultra expensive).

The more you have to work to get something, the more you value it!

:)

I love PGR2, but the cars in that are way way too easy to obtain. You can easily obtain 75% of the cars in one day of playing!

If anything, I'd like the prize month for amateur races to come way way down. I'd like a bit more proportion to the game.

10,000 credits for a set of tyres when you can get a cheap car for around that is a bit silly.

I'd be quite happy if you had enough money for a mediocre car at the start of the game and then had to win around 10 races to purchase another :)

I'd like it if it was even harder to get money... Maybe an option for a harder sim mode. Less prize/starting money and cars/parts cost more to buy but perhaps with a better chance to get a rare cars (or maybe let you pick). But then they'd have to get rid for the whole 3 normal cars and one rare car thing that went on in GT3. It was very annoying at times when you were trying to get a rare car and all you got were lemons anyway. Two birds with one stone. ;)

 yea it got annoying in GT3, hopefully they'll bump up the "Fun factor" in winning cars and whatever, true they should make it hard but not too hard where you'll just get annoyed and tired of racing and racing and getting nothing, GT2 was really easy to win money and GT3 to me was so-so mix up the two a little better and it'll be cool, 50,000 for beginner umm I'd disagree on that, id rather see like 50,000 for amature races. In away I kiind of didnt like the beginner, amature, professional races in GT3, GT2 was cool with the whole world raceing type deal mix that up with GT3 and it would be cool, But what would make the Sim harder, them fixing up the A.I. and making them harder to beat, then it'll get interesting...

1 day of playing arrgggg!! ARE YOU HUMAN?!?!? lol :D

I prefer buying cars with credits and stuff tbh, tokens are abit...sad.

Well making cars & parts harder to obtain is good but I don't want rediculous prices i.e. win 10,000 but a muffler is 25,000Cr.

Winning 250 credits & mufflers being 500 or so would be cool :)

yea keep the prices a little more realistic, well there credits but its just about the same as money  so yea keep them realistic....

75 % of PGR2 cars in ONE DAY! Your kidding right? Unless of course you meen literally a whole day (24hours):odd: .
