A think I have been thinking about for a while. While I am way to young and have absolutely no money to do this, retirement may be a viable time to do this, when that happens in about forty years.

None the less, seems like an awesome idea, no? I would love to do this, experience the contrasting world of driving: lunacy of Asia driving and the by comparison civility of Europe. AND THE NURBURGRING. :D:D:D:D:D 👍👍👍

Seems like I'm have symptoms of a mid life crisis already, and I'm sixteen

Thoughts? Should actually do this come forty years from now, if I still want to then? Would you do it?

You kids and your ignorance 👎

So, all Asians are lunatics and all of Europe is civil?:lol:

You know, I do hope you travel the globe someday. It'll open your mind up and help you become aware that there are other humans living somewhere you're not.

In comparison, if you ever watch videos of Asian driving, especially India, the way they drive is lunacy compared to Europe xD

I really do want to travel, damn money and it's restrictions. This is the way I want to do it.

^Not necessarily, but it's unlikely that Avis would let you rent a car in France, and drop it off in Singapore

Looks like a good trip, and distance-wise even further than the Mongol Rally held each year, which I keep wanting to do and then deciding not to for monetary reasons.

My only issue would be the "doing it in 40 years" thing, by which time gas will be so hideously expensive the trip probably won't be viable.

How long would that trip even take?

Also, you may run into issues with regards to Fuel and places to sleep when you get into Asia.

My idea was to use my own car. Export it to Singapore and once I'm done back to Canada.

If I would just drive, about ten days, but tack on fifteen if I want to sightsee.

I'd say way more than ten days even without the sightseeing - it's not all clean highway right the way across there. You'd probably find some days where you'd be lucky to do 100 miles, and others where you'd be stuck at a border for a day.

I'd be putting aside a minimum of three weeks - the aforementioned Mongol Rally takes between three and four weeks, and the route above is longer than the Mongol Rally. And that's if you don't break down. Or get your car stolen.
