Picked it up today for my wife and kids (no honest), I got the solus edition (sans microphones as I already had a set from previous versions) and I have to say that for the £17 I paid, its excellent.

30 tracks on the disk, with 41 up on the store at present to download, the basic mechanics are the same as always, but plug in an eye-toy and it videos and photographs you when 'performing'.

It should provide much drunken fun this Christmas, and gets a very strong recommendation from me.

How does the game work? I don't know anything about it. Is it like karaoke?
 
It is after all the number 1 rule to play this game completely wasted, it's not possible to play this game sober.
 
Karaoke yes, words on the screen and theres like, pitch bars i guess that sense the pitch in your voice to score you.
(taken from ps2 version but its the same so.

Just curious, does the PS3 version still have "golden notes"? Those were great to watch back.

Yep the golden notes are still around.

The on-line community is great, as you are playing the eye-toy videos and takes photos for uploading, some of the stuff that's been put is is wonderful.

@Beerzgood - my wife doesn't need my help to get drunk, but you are right I think the kids might be a bit much. :)

I'm still waiting for the US release. It's going to be great to get my friends to play, especially the females.
 
I've been waiting for a version which allows you to upload your own songs to it (as in ones you already "own" or have created).

Judging from that vid (if that's how it is overall), it looks a pretty good entertainment, like you guys said. What songs does it have? And are all of them with the original videos?

I'd really like to have this one tonight already, since I'm throwing a friends dinner at my house and it would surely be a great way to spend some time. 👍


@Scaff - Meh, it's Christmas, let the kids go all out just this once. :lol:
