Hey J,
At 20:30 GMT on 15.04.2002, we're noticing significant slowdown on the site. It's taking ages to render the pages, and also some of the avatars are not loading before browser timeouts. And before you consult the LoudMusic book of excuses (remember, I'm in IT too, and I know them all!!!!), everyone seems to be getting it, as the posts around this one in How many replies indicate.

Just thought you might like to know

Yes i too got the slow down at about 3:00pm - 4:00pm Central time Jordan.

Yes, I have also noticed this slowdown, and I am happy to report that my server is working fine. But, RackShack has confirmed they are having network problems for all of their customers, and they are working to get everything back up to speed as soon as possible. If you'd like to stay on top of GTPlanet's server's internet connection (being an IT guy and all ;)), take a look at this page. :)

Nice page. Does that update all the time? My host don't give me that, but the web site logs update in real time, and they're really keen to tell prospective customers of their massive bandwidth. I don't know if this link will work for you - if it doesn't, and you're interested, go to www.oneandone.co.uk, click 'Data Centre' and then 'Our Network' to see.

Anyway, this is all drivel, glad to see you've got it in hand!

Yes, it should update all the time, but I've never really checked to see that it does. OneandOne looks like a very impressive hosting company! 1,300,000 customers, too! I went with RackShack for their excellent bandwidth plans on dedicated servers, as that has always been a major issue for GTPlanet (around 5 GB per day). Fortunately, the server also came with plenty of software installed (including Ensim with an unlimited domains license), and RackShack's support is excellent. :)
