Site unstable for anyone else?

The site's been slow, reluctant to load images, and sometimes reluctant to load pages since yesterday. The trouble is intermittent - sometimes the site works just fine in short bursts, sometimes it's so bad that I have to close and reopen IE, then go to "Reopen Last Browsing Session", just to get to my PMs or a thread. Is this happening for anyone else?

Wait, wait, wait! IE? There's your problem! :P

I had these issues yesterday, but that only lasted for an hour or so.

I haven't had any issues lately. I'll try to load GTP through IE and see if I have similar issues.

Edit: Nope, no issues.

And... doin' it again. Works fine for the first 3 pages or so and then slows down to unusable. At least the soultion is simple. I could see the Cool Wall becoming quite a pain with this.

Thing is, it probably won't last forever. There's a site update coming soon, so maybe whatever's gone wrong on my end won't go wrong anymore.

EDIT: deleting temporary files seems to have helped a bit, let's see if it keeps helping.

Try clearing your browser cache, also DL CCleaner and check for registry issues(you can also get rid of temp. files with it much faster).👍

The site has been dodgey a couple days for me, I'm using chrome but I don't think that really matters.

I ran mallwarebytes and found this PUP.Optional.WeCare.A, Category Registry Key upon removal things seem back to normal. Could be coincidence dk.

It seems back to normal now, but I'm running Avast as we speak just to make sure. I heard of an image triggering someone else's Avast, so there may have been an infected file here at some point.

I have a galaxy s3 and it does not want to load images either, this has been haopening for 5 days now :(

The site's core infrastructure is running fine, perhaps a local content delivery node is having some issues. I've refreshed the content delivery edge cache to see if this helps.

I've experienced this yesterday and today (just now). Only the news site has the issue. It seems like the CSS isn't loading, and the (unformatted) site takes a long time to load.

That would indicate a content delivery server issue. Could several of you experiencing the problems ping cdn.gtpla.net and share the IP address that is returned for the domain name?

Weird, it shows as not resolvable. Tried an nslookup and got the same result.

The problems seem to be gone, though.

The site is running smooth as silk for me this morning. I tried this at the command prompt anyway; ping cdn.gtpla.net and this is what returned, ping request could not find host cdn.gtpla.net. Please check the name and try again.

I probably don't know what I'm doing lol.

Just happened for me. For the last 15 minutes the site was refusing to load, not sure if it was only me?

Using Chrome. Sometimes get the "Oops Chrome could not display this page" error. But I refresh and it's ok.

Things are happening. I'm reading only 11 people are online right now. EDIT - Now 161. Can anyone confirm?

My fault for mentioning cdn.gtpla.net - try cache.gtpla.net instead.

I've been on the site for the last hour - there's no problems.

That's unrelated.

Oh I see. Thanks for the reply. :cheers:Is it a correct reading or some behind the scenes work just disturbing the count?

Actually, I had a couple of brief outages for about 3 minutes, cumulatively, spread from about 19.10 to 19.22 (so starting 25 minutes ago).

My ping to cdn.gtpla.net was fine though - about 110-205ms average, no packet loss - though I don't recall the IP address that well. Think it began sixty-something

Edit: It's still on my screen :D 67.215.65.132 - a ping right now is returning 40ms average.

Interesting.
