Skid pad training at Streets of Willow Springs

So absolutely loved the skid pad in GT6 at Willow Springs. All my drift set up was created or testet at the pad. But the reset on track ruins it. Any ways around it or did i miss something? Seems no piont to be in game if we cant use it. Sorry for bad english, but help wanted. Thanks in advance.

Upper left corner, track setup, penalties. Take those reset options off.
