Hey, i'm a huge skyline fan, just realised on my wwalk home today that i don't know what the acronyms commonly seen in skyline model actually are, anyone able to help?

- GT-R
- R34
- Vspec <-- i have a guess on that (i'm really not that intelligent when it comes to acronyms, my brain cant rem em all)

Viper Zero, love your new avatar ;).

Nissan Skyline GrandTouring-Race Victory Specification (R34). Good thing they shortened it or else saying the car name would be a mouth full :lol:...

HEHEHE you should all try going to pharmacy school... I can barley copy those names out of my book much less pronounce them and don't get me started on spelling

Well, yeah, but I didn't cheat like a certain angry tree did.

CHEATER!

skylineGTR, spelling is one of, if not the only thing I have an uncanny ability at.

In 2nd grade we used to put up folders so we wouldn't copy each other but I would hide my spelling list in the pocket of the folder and pull it out when the teacher wasn't looking

Good thing there are only Frustrated trees around or else I'd think it was me who cheated :p :lol:...

RBxxDETT stands for

RB = Race Breed.

xx = Engine capacity to the nearest litre. 20, 25, 26 and 28 are used.

D = Dual overhead cam.

E = Fuel injected.

TT = Twin Turbo.

Anybody?

Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All - Electronic Torque Split :D I love the skyline so i know all kids of stuff about it.
Here is how it works:
A 16-bit microprocessor monitors the car's movements a 100 times per second, including wheel rotation and lateral as well as longitudinal acceleration. When slip is detected at a driving wheel, the system electronically distributes torque from this spinning wheel to one without slip.

When I drove the skyline I wasn't sure how aggressive I could be with it especially since I didn't wanna break such an expensive car...well I didn't have to worry here is how they told me to do it... this just proves how awsome the skyline really is...: floor the accelerator and dump the clutch at 8000 RPM...If I tried that in my honda I'd be seeing parts flying everywhere...Any way city driving barley requires any shifting because 1st gear takes you to about 46 mph and you still have 5 gears left!!!!

or even better, something i just remembered, i've been trying to find owners manuals for one, if you know of one please tell me! :lol:

Motorex is stingy in giving out anything unless you buy one and everything else is generally in japanese so skyline manuals are kinda hard to get. I'll ask around tho
