okay this is kinda long, but about 6 months ago, my brother dropped a stack of bopoks on my ps2. it still worked, but when the disc hub was spinning it scraped against the back plate of the drive. last week, i tried to play a game and the disc wouldnt spin, the motor just made a soft click,click,click noise. so i was wondering what i should do:
-I assume the motor is dead, but i can only find replacerments for the big ps2 on the internet for sale. am i close to the problem, and is there somewhere i can find a replacement? and if i do get one, can i replace it myself?
-i hav a big ps2 that a friend whos really tech savvy looked at and said i need a new dvd drive. If i were to get a drive, could i fix this?
-any other ideas? (please not that i am only 15, have no job, and have nearly unmoochable parents, so a new ps2 or ps3 is out of the question)
