Guys I got a slim PS2 over christmas and also a cheapo TV for my room (box room in the back of the house :grumpy: ), and I ran the THX setup thng from one of my dvds to set the contrast and also the other stuff on the tv, but when I get to setting the dvd player to display the correct orientation 4:3 its stuck on 16:9 but the tv is 4:3. Now according to the manual I should be able to change it, but it also says that the if its set to progressive scan on the PS2 it will only allow 16:9 but there aint no prog-scan in the dvd settings. any ideas?

Possible that the DVD is Widescreen Edition.

Try a few different ones.

If it keeps going back to default in software, then I don't know

change on PS2 bios set up

I dont know what you mean! if you can elaborate im more than happy to give it a go.

Its the same on all dvd's not matter what the format, its the software in the ps2 not the actual dvd, its really weird its just missing, I could understand that I may have to change another option if it was greyed out but its not even an option.
