Slow cars

I was trying out the deluxe edition today and wasn't able to keep up with any of the AI cars in the challenges.In one challenge the goal was to drive 250 kmph to win gold medal and my car was struggling to do 150 kmph. I have turned off all drive assists and turned them back on again but still the cars I have to drive is really slow. Btw...it's not possible to choose what car to use for each challenge so that's not the problem. Anyone else having this problem with slow cars?
How to fix this?

Are you using a wheel? Sounds like an issue with the accelerator. Does the relevant indicator in the HUD show that throttle is 100% pushed?

Yeah they got you over a barrel this year, they pick your car, I don’t like it at all. It was fun to grind and invest a lot of credits into your stock car, and then at the end look at what you had built and be proud of it. This GT is just a complete joke and a bomb to me. This is my opinion only.

I have a wheel but have not used it in this game yet, just the ds4. I will set up the wheel tomorrow and see what happens ☺

Hi there, that sounds similar to a problem I had in the beta where the right trigger (gas pedal) on my Dualshock4 was only registering about 50% of my input. Fortunately I also own a wheel which works perfectly, so it either a bug...or our gamepads are toast .
Check the UI like liberostelios suggested and see if the game is picking up your gamepads inputs properly.

The wheel is working fine...the problem was one of my ds4. Ty for your input

Glad to hear you got it working in the end! I guess my gamepad must be broken too then
