SLS AMG event track boundaries????

I am doing this event, but my time's don't seem to be registering.

I have gone off in certain areas and it gives me the message that the next lap will be invalidated, which I understand to mean the next lap COMPLETED, ie, the lap I am currently ON.

But I have done many laps in the 1:19 range and received no messages of lap invalidation, yet I still haven' received a silver trophy, or any message on the bottom left showing my lap's as registered.

So someone please tell me what the track boundaries actually are!!!

I am assuming that you can;t hit any cones and putting more than 2 tires in the grass = DQ.

Any specific areas??? Hammerhead?? The cone setup leaves a lot of room to enter more to the left....

Also I read on another thread that the red/white areas are offlimits to more than 2 tires, like a track edge.

This challenge is absolutely retarded honestly. Sorry, but no-one in the world has an SLS AMG with K-Mart/ASDA/REWE brand tires on it!!

DC's line shaves a good .5sec
+ dozen other rants about this awful event...

But all that aside.... what the F** are the offlimits areas??? And why doesn't the game tell you when you've hit one of them....

This mystery boundary crap is a joke!

Plz help before a perfectly good DS3 and LCD TV have a high velocity introduction....

Yea, I am driving the "track" thank you. I'm not cutting anything.

Read my post again, I want to know what areas are considered off track, since it's actually 2 massive runways with lines painted on them and clearly certain areas you can touch the lines, and certain areas if you so much as tip a cone, youre DQ.

I want to know what's making my times invalid. I'm driving clean and not trying to cut anything.

If you get a message "Next Lap Invalid" before crossing the starting line for lap 1 , then hit restart.
Mostly you get 3 or more laps invalidated.
If you hit/touch cones or hit certain areas even with 1 wheel , your time goes red.
Red time = Invalid lap

it not only makes your current lap invalid, but the next one as well. So if you see your time clock in orange or red instead of grey or white, then your time will not count. If you bump a cone or go off in a major fashion it will make the next lap invalid, and each subseqent hit will make the next lap beyond that invalid. I would suggest if its red or orange, just hit start and restart the track.

You'll also find with these events that once you've invalidated your laptime, every susbsequent laptime will be invalidated. These events aren't like normal time trial/practise mode.

^^^ This. Every subsequent lap is invalid once red. If you get red, restart unless you are practicing.

Hitting cones, 4 wheels on grass, more than 2 wheels outside the line coming into Hammerhead will all result in red laps.

The red/white lines exiting Chicago & Hammerhead are particularly sensitive. I never did fully understand where the limits were here.

Lastly, cutting the red/white painted area in the follow-thru will result in red.

OK thanks guys, I had noticed the time was hard to read sometimes, looked sorta pinkish to me (I'm colorblind) and when I restarted, the white laptime became obvious. So I was cutting the entry to hammerhead apparently and using too much curb at follow-through. Cleaned up the line a bit now and I can't get the silver.....

This event is hugely frustrating... I mean WTF, who put the Astroglide sprayers in the wheelwells????

Lol, if you think you're not enjoying it, I made 1:18.040 after 3 hours play, then couldn't get within a second of it. From all the mad swearing, my neighbours must think I'm mad. I bloomin well am!

Give a little brake and let the car slide on it's own instead of braking hard then gasing hard
