@llNovall Thank you again for organizing this multi-class series. I had a great deal of fun last night in spite of my horrible first race.

Race 1 first 11 laps avg pace 13.0, standard deviation 0.6sec per lap. A few mistakes and I lost the draft which put me out of sequence when we caught TCS class. Avg pace after that was 13.5, stdev 1.3sec per lap! Putting me somewhere on the outskirts of Nowheresville.

I made the most starting from the front for Race 2. Prior to the safety car my avg pace was 12.9, stdev 0.2 sec per lap. After the safety car I was running 12.7 / 0.14 per lap but @llNovall still caught and passed me. :scared: Great battles with @TEX36 and @LST.

I think there will always be some car/track performance variation but consistency is crucial against such a quality driver field.

This was one of my favorite sequences of the night after the safety car when the class leaders came together:

Post Race Report

Great racing to all our drivers in attendance for our first points race of the series and of the season. There was some close racing and battles all across the field within Classes, and some very good racing etiquette in the cross class exchanges.
We started Race 1 with 16 drivers on the grid. TCR was off with a very clean start, but GS had an incident at the starting line with a stalled car that iniated a pile up on the launch. @nmcp1 and @Bologna_Duc came away with the worst of the situation setting them back at the start. Unlucky for the both of them.
@TEX36 was our pole sitter and GS class leader for Race 1, and never looked back, with some very consistent laps and clean racing when approaching Class traffic. The rest of the field had some long standing battles through race 1, most notably, myself and @Xradkins for 2nd place and @LST and @GTP_Guido for the 5th spot in GS.
In the TCR Class, @Moby45 and @Hellbringer69 had a dogfight for nearly the entire race for 1st place, with @JLBowler and @Phlano099 battling for 3rd for nearly as long.

Overall, the racing was clean despite a few incidents, one being reported and reviewed.

Race 2 was a smaller grid, as we had 4 drivers fall off the roster for the night. The racing was just as intense, and saw a Caution around mid race. Again, great job by everyone for navigating the heavy cross Class traffic while fighting for positions within Class. It was very fun to race and just as fun to watch.

And finally, Congratulations

Yes sir, it sure is. I'll send you a welcome PM with time trial instructions tomorrow afternoon, and figuring you will be rendering your own livery, tab 3.2 has the breakdown of all livery requirements for TCR Class. Be sure to send a screenshot of the side profile over the white background as you did with the Porsche.
Welcome, and glad to have with us for this series as well.

Curious what other TCR drivers are running. Right now Im right in the pocket, albeit pushing hard to maintain it.

Averaging 1:31.0's

I might hop on and make a few laps to see if I am in that area later tonight. But if I remember right the fastests laps were high 30's

Confirmation Reminder Post
for Event #2

at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca
on Friday, August 14th, 2020

To all Drivers tagged in this post, please confirm your status by posting here in the thread or via PSN message that you "will" or "will not" be racing by 5pm Thursday (day before race night) to secure your grid spot and/or to adhere to the absentee policy.

The final Driver BOP regulations have been updated and shown in the 2nd post of the thread. Please verify and apply these latest numbers to your car before entering the race room.

Also, I would ask that all drivers re-review section 4 of the first post, tabs 4.1 (Multi-Class Racing etiquette) and tab 4.2 (Caution process) for the series; and tab 1.7 (Race Start Procedure) to refresh and be ready on race night. Any questions at all, please reach out and clarify before race night.

The race Event schedule is shown below:
9pm est- open room and verify bops/warm up
9:15pm est -15 minute Open qualifying
9:30pm est - 27 laps to = 40 minute Race 1
10:15pm est- 27 laps to = 40 minute Race 2, (Reverse grid)
Race will be using all updated series rules and format. (Caution rules will be used if needed)

Race Event Details
-27 laps for each race.
-14:30 Clear
-1x fuel consumption/1x tire wear.
Event Details Post for Event #2
Driver BOP Chart
All drivers are required to be in the party chat whether they have a mic or not. Caution calling and directives will be issued through the party chat, and for those without a mic, it would come through your monitor/tv audio.

**(In the event a Caution is called during the race, I ask everyone to be patient and cooperative.)**

***Please review tab 4.2 in the first post and clarify or ask any questions before we get to race night.***

I'll ask that all drivers who make it on the grid as a single or dual room event, to please stay in the race event for the night, as we will have had to turn some drivers away and it would be a wasted opportunity for them to race ir you entry is needed to keep the 2 room grid whole. If you do not plan on participating for the duration of the night, leave the spot open. In the Event of a solo off track or spin, run to gather up as many points as possible (and there is always the possibility of a Caution to get you back up to field) Stay with it.

Primary Drivers will be given priority for each class, then go to the Reserves for each class as needed. Reserve Driver priority will be based on prior testing/time trialing participation, then based on order of availability. Please reply your intentions either way.

Also, a reminder to our Reserve Drivers: in the event we secure confirmations of at least 12 GS Drivers and at least 8 TCR Drivers total for each class, we will seperate the race Event into 2 race rooms by Class. Once confirmed, your entry is being relied on for attendance.

Anyone with a 👍 has already confirmed and are noted to be present for Friday, August 14th. Everyone else, please confirm, here in the thread or via PSN message, that you "will" or "will not" make it no later than 5pm est Thursday (Day before Race Night). *Please reply either way*
