[FONT=&quot]After a short discussion on msn about the effects of snow on a country's economy, I decided to look into this subject a little harder. Let us look at some examples of how a country benefits from snow. On the far end of the spectrum we have countries that totally rely on snow such as [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Sweden[/FONT][FONT=&quot] for the tourist industry. In the middle we have countries that have clear seasonal changes such as the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]United States[/FONT][FONT=&quot]. Then the countries where snow least affects the tourism trade such as [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Egypt[/FONT][FONT=&quot] (Yes it snows there)[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]There are huge differences in how much money this generates for the countries listed, and it can be derived that the more snow a country has, the more money it generates from the tourism industry.[/FONT]

I believe so, but I doubt it means lick as in lick ice cream, it's more likely to mean he's going to strike you.

He actually says "A-licky boom boom down".

Which obviously makes more sense.

Due to the speed and Jamaican patois with which Snow sings the song, there is some debate over what the actual lyrics are. Most common is the transliteration: "Informer you no say daddy me Snow me I'll go blame, A licky boom boom down, Detective mon said daddy me Snow me stab someone down the lane, A licky Boom Boom Down." Lick in Jamaican patois meaning to strike, so in this context he'd be taking someone out, which is logical, since the song is about the informer who betrayed the author.

When I was fairly young... I used to think he was saying "I'm a farmer"...
 
I always thought it was, "I'll lick you. Boom boom, down." In other words, I'll knock you out.

So what do we call it when a thread has been derailed before it started?
