Well I finally spend some time ****ing around in photo mode, and I could not avoid noticing that the front of the 458 seems to be about an inch higher than it should, like if the car was stuck in parking mode (with the nose lift), has anybody else notice it? it looks like they model the cars straight from the blueprint (the one in the owner’s manual) without having any contact with the actual car.

nitpicking i know...:guilty:

It's a mid engine car. There's hardly any weight upfront and plus that stance stops oversteer.

I’m comparing it with how the car looks in person m8, and the one in the game looks like it has its nose lifted (about an inch), not sure if Im making myself clear… so some visual aids are in order :p

more or less how it should look

and yes i know im nitpicking, it just seems odd that they got this car wrong (or maybe i just need glasses :p)

Lower the front about 15mm lower than the rear and see how the car performs.

You compare it with passengers or without?
I believe that makes some different in weight balance

For a few seconds, I thought that the lower pic that Jay posted was a GT5 Photomode screenshot as well. Go figure. :dunce:

The 458's nose is curved like that produce downforce most likely. Getting more air under the car is actually a good thing if you're going to make use of it.

Spot-on, it is in parking mode, the 458 is pitched forward very slightly in real life.

That's because GT5 suspension settings are invereted (front = rear and vica versa).
:/

It's a long debate, problem is when you want to decrease "front height" the game actually lower it "properly". Other users said only the physics values are inverted, booth theories have a point, but it's a long story.

They really didnt made anything wrong, 458 looks like that in real life too.
She isnt taller at the front, its like an optical illusion that makes you think that the front is higher than the back.
Pics with the guidelines:

Plus that if you follow the lines you'll see that your camera wasnt perfectly aligned horizontally.

There is a way of solving this problem.

Do what I do.. lower it as much as it can be and enjoy the phatness.

It still looks weird to me when comparing it with the real car:confused: (strictly visually), also if u look at the settings sheet it says:
-----------------F-----R
ride height-------8-----0
SR--------------6.2---7.0
Dampers---------1-----1
Anti-roll bars-----1-----1
Camber----------0-----0
Toe-------------0-----.20

so 8 mm off according to this; anyway it still looks good and to quote Sir Francis Bacon "there is no beauty without some strangeness in its proportions…"
