For those of you who play online with your PS2, all I've heard is that all you need is an active phone line and a network adapter and software to play. And of course, it will mean you need to find a way to pay for online use. To me, it's too much, and I'm not really a person on wasting money. My brother is already paying for our online use, so no way.

But I am just wondering.

all you need is a connection to the internet, and the adapter. The problem is that many of the new games are broadband only so you may have issues if you're on dialup.

All new games are copy protected through DNAS so burns wont run online. Also, some rpgs are pay to play.

there is, but it's EXTREMELY illegal and borderlines on actual hacking. Sony has already started filing lawsuits against the people that gave away their disk ID's for this method.

Meh, the only online games i'm even going to contemplate playing i'm going to buy anyway.

It will probably come in handy with the next Winning 11 title, if someone releases an un-official patch for it (like winning 11 7 has) I can patch it to cd-r or dvd and still have the damn online play option available.
