I have to pick data from anything. Can be an experiment, a poll, but I dont have a lot of ideas. Any suggestions? I cant take data from a place that has already analized it.

Get several recent copies each of USA Today, the Boston Globe, the New York Times, and the Washington Post. Count the number of times the words "Republican" and "Democrat" are used in the first two pages of each paper. Graph those numbers against each other, and against the number of times any other political party is mentioned.

Alternatively, you could look at videos of meetings between Bush and Blair ,and see if either persons nose size is consistent throughout.

LOL

I liked the last one, but unfortunately, that wouldnt bring a lot of information. Good ideas.

EDIT: I was talking about ultrabeat's one.

I have to make a project for my statistics class.
Basically I just have to collect data from any experiment or source. Then I have to make charts of them, and make all that crap.

Examples of past projects:

-How many fries does a medium order size contain at McDonalds. For that reason, the student went across some random McDonalds from state, and counted the number of fries from the orders. You know, I have to pick random values. I cant pick them because I just like them. Doing that, the experiment would be plagued with bias, and the teacher doesnt want that.

I was thinking of making of poll of PS2,Xbox, GC owners, but the only source I have is gamefaqs, and that is a very small population and my choice would be biased.

TD, That file is a zip file containing an excel spreadsheet. It charts fuel expenses, prices, mileage, and according to date.

That fuel economy chart is pretty good. Thanks.
I can pick cars, but I would need data from many places. Hey, I got an idea. Maybe I can make a chart about the different lap times on the GT3 courses. I would need Boombexus to help with some of his times though.
