I'm in Downend, so not too far away. I go to VW shows through the summer too, might see you at Bristol Volksfest, we usually have a club stand there. I usually go to the performance action days at Castle Combe too, plus Ultimate Dubs, GTi Spring festival, GTi International and Edition 38 too. I don't drive a VW though, I'm in a Seat :p

Cool, what club is that dude? I'm with the Krazy Dub Club.

Guess I never really answered this. I started the GT series with GT3. Loved cars already, but I learned so much from driving in GT3 and gained a lot of insight from reading the Skip Barber section in the back of the manual. Had a 99 Grand Am GT (V6, automatic) at that time, up until September 2008 when I bought my Civic Si. Up to that point, there was no use trying to race the Grand Am. However with GT4's release (I'm thinking I was 15 at that time?) I started the game with an 86 MR2. Two months and two days ago, I bought an 87. :)

Started autocrossing the Civic around July of '09. I would have started sooner if I had known how accessible it was and that the group was as open as it is.

Whether or not I'd be racing without GT, I'm not sure. But it definitely gave me a great foundation to start from, and influenced me to buy a car. 👍

I plan on it, with just small-time stuff for fun. Like JaiAE86, alas, to young to drive a car. But without GT, I would never know as much about cars in an entire life as I do right now.

I have been interested in cars ever since when I was born(got my first die cast car when I was 1yr old, a Lambo Diablo, and christmas my first hot wheels track, which got me into racing, with a '89 MR2(SW201) and 300ZX(Z32) :), now I miss them. :()

I had always been into imports espically cars from Japan, Australia and Europe(had many Ferarri F50s and F40s,Porsche 989s and 911s,Aussie Fords,Mazda RX-7 (FD) and Toyota Supras (MKIV) and MR2s and more.) When I got the first GT, I discovered about STis, EVOs, NSXs, TVRs, and espically the Skyline GT-Rs, I always wanted one ever since when I played GT2 with NFSIII Hot Pursuit and Test Drive 6, mostly GT2 got me more into the Skyline more in favor to the R34 GT-Rs :D:tup:, I got my first skyline when I was 12(a R32 Hot Wheels, more later in my teens during the Import Scene of the US.)

Now cause of Gran Turismo, I'm trying my best to find a Skyline GT-R for crusing and espically racing ;)(btw I'm 21 now, college student in the US.) and can't wait to go to the Nurburing for some quick lap times in a ACR Viper, 👍 and smoking up Fuji Speedway with a Slivia S15 drifting.

Thank you Gran Turismo!!!!! You thats why I can't wait to get my car and those performance parts soon. Track, drift and/or drag here I come!

But I have a few car choices I'm going to share with you guys, give me your opinions ;) they are: Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Mitsubishi Lan Evolution 8 or 9, Honda S2K, Toyota Supra(MK4), Nissan 350Z(Z33), Mazda RX7(FD) , Mitsu 3000GT VR4('98 & up) and a Nissan 300ZX TT(Z32) thanks!

I'll see if I can scrounge around and find some pics of my old SCCA A-Sedan Camaro...especially the pic of what it looked like after hitting a wall @ around 100ish MPH backwards (kink @ Road America). Took me over a year to fully recover from that - racing is no joke folks.

'89 MR2 would be a first gen (AW11). SW20s started with '91.

As for you car choices, typical GT player's response.
