So I apparently have a bad 1.05 update... Should I re-update?

I been wondering this for a while as I noticed something terrible after the update with the sound of at least one of my cars that I meantioned before in a couple other threads, but no one seems to have the same problem.

This is particularly about hte Lexus LFA. I haven't used the car in a very long time because it sounds like complete digital crap after the update.

This is what the car sounded like before the update and I assume still sounds like for most everyone else right now:

Those are what it USED to sound like in my game, but now it has a very high pitched girgling sound when reving.

So my question is. Will my game data be effected if I delete the update and reinstall it?
 
The game save will not be affected but backing it up most strongly recommended. Good luck getting it sorted
 
Yep I definetly have a bad update.

I have been in the process of deleting the update for over two minutes now. My PS3 is now stuck in the cycle.

I figured something was wrong when it told me it was counting the size of the update and never got the numbers and now its been a few minutes and its still trying to delete.

I hope this doesn't ruin anything on my system. :'(

Update:

Nevermind it just finished deleting it. Damn that was like... 4 minutes. I hope this doesn't become a problem. Thanks for the help.
