I used my "beater" F094/H, the one with over 1000 miles on it, and only 813HP, instead of my pristine new one with 0 miles and 829HP. Ran the Laguna Seca Enduro, put 13 laps on the poor unsuspecting Viper, and 21 laps on the Mercedes CLK Touring car, which looked like it was being driven by a drunk driver. He put me into the wall after one of his many offroad excursions the first time I lapped him, so I was nice enough to return the favor the next 20 times I saw him... :trouble:

Turned a best lap of 1:04:xx. I was turning consistent 1:06's and 1:07's. Pitted every 9 laps. I finished the race in around 110 minutes. I'm sure I could improve that time dramatically if I could do the corkscrew and the next corner properly every time. My "brake after its almost too late" style doesn't work very well at Laguna. My setup was maximum downforce on the rear (1.50) and .85 on the front. Tire wear was almost perfectly even front and rear, and the car was handling very nicely, regardless of the tire age.

Anyway, the end made it worthwhile, I got the car I wanted: the F686/M. With 150HP more than the F094/H, I think it should be fairly fast... :) Hopefully I can win the Formula GT series and finish simulation mode this weekend. Then it's just 5 more time trials in arcade and I'm done... :D

the "corkscrew" on luguna seca, I have found it helpful if you shift down to 2nd right before the 1st turn, but ONLY to slow down. While your in 2nd, just tap the gas when your pointed straight and throw it in 3rd and floor it, by the time you go around the left turn under the bridge you should be at 4th or 5th gear. You dont have to slow down AT ALL for that turn either, since your going downhill and then it turns flat it will throw you on around. . . it probably takes me 4 seconds on avg to get through all 3 turns (no drifting). It can be done with most any car, just shift to 2nd and when you're pointed downhill, slam it in 3rd and floor it, never let off. :)

the easiest way to bang through that corkscrew is to go in it 1 gear higher than what the game tells you, ex: if 2nd is flashing shift up to 3rd right before you enter the turn. By the time you come out of the turn you'll be in high 3rd close to redline.
