GBA sp nes classic edition. It looks awesome and I really like the button-feeling. Haven't played anything on it yet, It is recharging for the moment.

I bought Spyro 2 - Season Of Flame with it and are planning to get some other games. Saw that GT Advance 3 has gotten good reviews so I'm probably getting that too.

Any games you can reccomend? I like straightforward action games, prefferably platformers.

Doesn't the nes edition look nice: :)

I have an original edition and was relishing to arrival of the NES edition. Doesn't it look beautiful and so retro? Anyways it wouldn't hurt to get a copy of Mario's early exploits on the Nes: Mario 1, 2 or 3 (3 being the best of the bunch). Super mario world is class and so is Yoshi's Island (which I have a copy of) A Metroid game would be a good purchase. Why not a bit of fighting on the go with a copy of Streetfighter revival? A friend mentioned that Advance wars is an excelent game to get. So there are some avenues you could go down. I just wish there are some kind of NES transfers in the style of the one's in the picture.

I think I'm getting the Super Mario game from the newly released classic series. Metroid.. hmm I heard it's supposed to be a kickass series, I'll check it out. Fighting games have never suited my taste.

Thanks.

there are a couple of decent racing games available. A Gt stlyle arcade racer and a Mariokart title aswell.

i dont know if you like rgps....but final fantasy tactics is fun. i dont recommend mario games...unless you REALLY like mario. most of the time they just get frustrating for me....and it brings nothing new to the table. its just old remakes. the metroid games are kind of fun though....i stopped playing fusion because i was so lost that i couldnt do anything. i just kept going in circles.....so it would be good to take the time to look at a walkthrough.

yeah.

One of the all time great puzzle games makes a return after being away since the NES days. Dr. Mario Advance. GTA Advance has also been released. So there's some more options for ya.

Great buy. I purchase my sp awhile back and it was one of the best investments i've made in a long time. I think people that were big into nes, and snes would appreicate that gba more b/c it has a lot of old school games like mario 3 and zelda which bring back all great memories i had of those games back in the day. On another note i highly suggest you look into getting a flash card for your sp. I had one and it's save me tons of money and given me countless hours of entertainment. Trust me.

demon of speed
Flash card????? Is that some sought of cartridge that has 100 games on it?

It's sort of a memorystick which you can insert in your GBA and fill up with any games/programs you want (from your PC). The technique is legal but I doubt it's used legally by anyone who buys it.

When it comes to console games I like to buy the originals though. Don't really know why except that it gives a certain amount of satisfaction, knowing you got the real deal. :)

Whatever floats your boat i guess. I have greater satisfaction in the fact that i'll be saving more money in the long run but hey, if having the "real deal" makes you feel better than saving money then 👍 . But there's more to it than saving money. Lets suppose you want to try out a game and dont wanna gamble whether it's garbage or not (which in my experience, there are more games that are a waste of time as oppose to good ones). W/ a flash card, you can try it out before you make a $30 commitment everytime you wanna try out a new game. Jus another way of thinking i suppose.

TwinTurboJay
1) Blades. Of. Steel. **shing** ( if available )
2) Bionic Comando
3) Ninja Turtles ( original )

That Turtles game for the NES was awsome back in the day! Rates in my top 20 games.

Its awesome. I'm gonna get Wolfenstein 3D (old share-ware game) and Mortal Kombat Advance in the mail on Wednesday(sp?) I already got Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Star Wars Jedi Power Battles.

I bought an SP just like yours. I mainly play 3 games, Mario Tennis (GBC game), Donkey Kong (GB game, the original puzzle game), Super Mario Bros. 3, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong (GBA game that's a remake of Donkey Kong). I love my SP and I recomend any of those games. I plan on getting Mario Pinball for Christmas.

BTW- I think it's just coincidence that all the games are Mario. I'm not a fanatic or anything. but hey, they're good games!

Dang, you should have got yourself a Nintendo DS. It can play both DS and Advance games, plus it has touch screen. Of course the DS is more expensive, around $200 tax included.

Nice. I've noticed the Mario vs. DK game but haven't been able to get my hands on it yet, it looks like fun. Not sold here unfortunately.

CiBoys, is the DS released yet?

Hmm...I never noticed this thread. I have the same GB SP as you do GTJugend. The only games I have are Chessmaster, Namco Museum, and Mario Golf Advance. If you like golf games, MGA is a good one. It has sort of an RPG feel to it because you can enter skills contests and improve your character's abilities.

The Dual Screen is out as I saw it a Toys R Us last night. I didn't get a look at it though, the wife was hogging it!

Question: This flash card thing allows you to D/L old school NES games off the net and play them on your Game Boy? It acts as an emulator, or am I misunderstanding?

Is that Chessmaster game any good??

Its pretty tough in my opinion. I'm no grand master myself but I can only beat the 5,7,and 9 year old opponents. I can't get past the 12-ish age players:dopey:

If you like chess there should be enough of a challenge for you, there's quite a range of opponents all the way up to the really old Chessmaster guy. The teaching mode is pretty useless though. All in all, for a GBA chess game I'd have to recommend it:tup:
