So let me get this straight, no demo for GT5 on PSN but a demo in stores?

Agreed. When I had to replace my PS3 this summer, the only place I found in my county that hadn't sold out of PS3s was the store on the local Air Force base. I called Gamestops, Targets, Walmarts, Kmarts, Best Buys and none of those places had any. The closest Gamestop that had a PS3 was two and a half hours away and they only had one. I guess it all just depends on where you live.

Now that you mention it I do remember some shortages not too long ago... some guy on craigslist was trying to sell one for $900 or something claiming there would be no more PS3s for months...

It never panned out as bad as that I think, and I thought the deal was they were artificially holding back inventory to try and force a clearout of all the old phats.
