How does GT4P compare to gt3 or old GT racers; what's you impression on GT4P and it looks? Does its graphics have a nice advancement from older GT rascers on the ps2? IMO, it does have a nive advancement from old GT racers on the ps2, after seeing the Mclaren vids which are just jaw dropping and ver realistic.

In terms of quality over quantity GT4P it beats GT3 hands down, GT3 is stil the better game but thats only because of how little GT4P has in comparison. The graphics are better but only marginally, GT3 still looks good today though. The handling has improved for the better, cars now struggle under heavy braking and the rally race feels a whole world better than GT3's. The engine sounds are improved also but I get the feeling it might depend n the car a bit as well, I've not used the McLaren yet but in the video's it didn't sound too great.

It sounded good to me. It's good to know that the cars handle like the real thing. I got the new pro wheel afew days back and it's realistic with gt3. Can't imagine how much fun I will have with it on gt4.

I havn't used the new wheel but I plan on getting it soon, with GT4 it should be amazing.

If you have GT Concept you'll see that the graphics in GT4P are very similar in quality. The Handling in GT4P is definately more difficult, you have to control the cars balance better as they understeer easier and on curbs the car will spin if you ride them too much or put a wheel on the grass. Sounds are greater also. One new thing is when you hit someone or something hard enough you lose full power for 10 seconds.

Simply not being able to accelerate for 10 seconds seems like a bit of an easy way to avoid the glaring problem of the unrealistic crashes in GT games. What they should do is simply slow down your car a hell of a lot more if you hit the barrier or scrape it like most other games do.

Restricing cars power for a time detracts from realism imo. They'll probs make it easier to get the penalities come online GT4 though :)
