Yeah, and the 360 runs hot enough as it is. I don't have A/C here and if it's anything like last summer (which it will) my 360 won't have a prayer. What do you do or going to do to keep it cool? (besides the smart ass answer of getting a/c)

Thanks

wait till winter comes? :dopey:

I don't have a 360, but many of my freinds have ran in to the same problem. They bought little intercooler units to hook up on the back of the 360. Maybe you should try one?

Those intercoolers make things worse - they put out more heat than cool air. I'd stay away from them.

Personally, you should get a fan or something to blow a bunch of air on it. Yes, it's tacky, but it's better than nothing. Preferably, I'd get air conditioning, since living in CA/AZ/anywhere that has 100º+ temperatures is pure hell without it.
Wouldn't that make you quite literally an Xbox 360 fan-boy? 💡 :P
Oh no, not with the puns!

I got given another fan like the intercooler, but it broke down after 2 months. However I read the same happened for the intercooler one. But one thing I would say do, is get some fans where your Xbox 360 is and keep the window wide open or just have no fans where the Xbox 360, but still keep the Window wide open.

Ive had my x360 for a month now and after initially stuffing the x360 into a unit and nearly melting my house down i have since moved it so it sits beside my tv with nothing enclosing the 360 and ive never had a problem with heat. My x360 is always cold to touch and there is a warm breeze blown out from the back of the machine after a heavy session.

Maybe becuase its a new 360 its got better cooling abilities or something?

Spec....

My 360 was originally in the tv cabinet but was making some awful noises and was really generating some heat. In the end I took it out of the cabinet and put it out sitting on a shelf with nothing to enclose it. That seems to have helped it run much better.

If you are really worried about it getting hot it might help to lay it on its side and sit it on some books or some thing at each end with some space under it, so that that some air can move under the console too.
