So what do you like?

Economy cars with personality: Stuff like the Nova, the 200SX, and other little cars I've driven. Probably what I'll buy the rest of my life...

4-cyl RWD cars, turbo or NA: See above, only with more sideways.

The GT-R: Antithesis of Simple, yet I love the damn thing.

Mopars and Fords: Because everyone uses Chevy engines...

Monster Trucks: Because, at heart, I am a Child.

Things other people on this forum don't seem to like: Why is it I'm so outspoken, here? Why do I like cars no-one else loves?

But, really, I can find something to like from almost every manufacturer, barring most Chinese makes.

I think, though, it's easier to name things I DON'T like, but that's the antithesis of this thread, so, I'll leave that for another time...

What I Like:
  • Small sporty FWD hatchbacks from any country
  • Vintage European and Japanese cars
  • Good 4 cylinders
  • Turbo charged 6 cylinder engines
  • Land Rovers
  • Odd vehicles
  • Vehicles that don't take themselves seriously
  • Good automatic transmissions
  • Awesome cheap cars for the masses
  • Cool looking headlamps
  • StanceWorks cars
  • Mini trucks
  • Rally cars
  • Unique engine swaps/ drivetrain swaps

There's probably more but that's a start.

-> I like cars in general no matter what. It always intrigues me every new car that comes out (yes, even the Aztek and those goofy Chinesse cars). But what separates from which car to another is the way they drive. ;)

-> I tend to prefer cars that are FUN TO DRIVE based on the balance of power, weight, dynamics, and responsiveness on ANY ROAD SURFACE (mountain passes, highway, city streets, gravel/off-road, or anything in between). Its the pleasure of driving is what I'm after. :)

-> I don't care if the car slices lap times like a hot knife on butter, has nuclear-amounts of power, has that gorgeous drooling looks that'll make your pants wet, or if the car has that pop-star status (ie. over-hype cars) that pisses me off most of the time. The important thing for me is on how the car reacts to me and be able to communicate with me. :sly:

I love old American cars with huge grilles with a lot of chrome.

I love quirky cars (Prelude, Buick Grand National etc)

I love Willys Coupes with big tires and bigger engines.

I love being able to pretty much feel the road through the steering wheel.

I have a soft spot for simplicity, or the K.I.S.S. method. Just have enough bells and whistles to get by.

Heres a list of 5 cars that I would love to have in my dream garage.

Honda S2000
Porsche 914 with a swapped Honda H22
Honda Prelude
Mazda Miata
Lotus 7 or equivalent.

On the other hand, I can't stand any american cars made from the 90's to present. I hate crappy build quality, and no one will convince me that they are making good cars now. I don't like Corvettes, not sure why, but I just don't.

I like three types of cars really.
  • Small, lightweight, manual transmission, high revving, car regardless of drivetrain or origin.
  • A large, V8, RWD, American or German pony/muscle car.
  • Something with 4 doors and made in Germany.

I liked the Contour before Ford USA got their grubby mitts on it.

I mean what a ridiculous bodykit. And why have they given it a fat lip?

Actually I find that to be quite good looking, and the picture posted looks exactly like one my mate owned.

*edit*
Oh and that looks remarkably like this minus the bottom front bumper:

The list would never end so I'll just stick to my favourite,at the present moment:

And my favourite classic:

Although to be honest this options tend to vary a lot in a year(if not month or week) basis
