SoCoM Headset!!!

Please give your opinion about the headset of SOCOM....

IT works very well, it's just great!!! I actually didn't thought it would be that effective, but after i bought the game i was totally overwelmed about it's succes. Let's hope we can use the set in other upcoming games as well.
 
Yeah, it's an OK headset, haven't had any issues with mine.
Zipper needs to worry more about the reload and single fire buttons and all the cheats and glitches before the headsets though.

You can also plug it into your PC and use it as a mic. It can also be used on Yahoo's voice chat.
 
Logitech quality with socom playability : what more could you want.

i got the actionpack................the game+ headset for the usual price. it isn't a really difficult game actually, but the headset flushed that away :lol:

Most upcoming online games will feature voice communication, using the SOCOM headset or other USB headset, online. SOCOM II, Ghost Recon, Killzone, Gran Turismo 4, etc. And Madden NFL 2004, recently released, is the first game that uses it this year, and the first after SOCOM. And as for offline, the upcoming SOCOM II, SWAT, and Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm will support voice commands to AI.

And as for my opinion on the headset itself, yeah, it is an OK headset. Logitech recently released a higher quality version, with volume control and interchangable earpads. I'm was planning on getting one, but I think I'll stick with the first party. So I'll wait for Sony's USB headset, which also feature volume control and some other stuff. Plus it looks a lot better (quality) than Logitech's. The microphone look a lot like Xbox Live Voice Communicator's microphone, which it isn't a bad thing. Enjoy your new game.
