Do you live in Canada? If its $19.99 in the US wouldn't it be $29.99 in Canada? I'd wait less then one month for Socom II for $39.99(all SCEA games are now $39.99)

I'd yes and no. Socom II has all the levels from Socom.

Is it a frustrating game to play? I'm not much of a video game player, really. I bought a PS2 mainly for MGS2, and GT3.

I want to pick this one up because I hear it has a High-definition mode. Is this true?

I think you can run it in 480 dpi Progressive Scan, but I don't really remember. Ill look tomorrow. :) And yes, sometimes it can be very frustrating not knowing what to do. Espically on the timed missions. But other than that, a very fun game. I give it two 👍 👍

Uh oh, timed missions? That doesn't sound good to me. I like to take my time the first run through a video game.

480p isn't High-def. I have that with vhs tapes and my current PS2 video games thanks to my HDTV's built in deinterlacer. High-def must be 540p, or 810i to be considered HD. I doubted the PS2 could do that, but I think I'll buy SOCOM anyway.

Thanks for the help, and if you find that info about 480 dpi you can PM it to me if you want, or just add it here. Thanks again. 👍

Well, the timed missions (the one that I've encountered so far) is only timed because there are bombs on an oil tanker and you have to go diffuse them in like 5 minutes.

Oops! I didn't know that it wasn't high-def. Sorry. :O

I've finished the game on the basic ensign level.

If anyone has finished the lt.j.g. level, and has a sharkport save of the free mission select enabled game, please post it here.

I would really appreciate it.

Thanks :D
