Solution for hosting vids and stuff

Hi guys,

Just an FYI....

I've seen the hosting problem quite often so I looked around for a solution. A lot of the services only allow limited number of downloads or limited space which is really annoying.

There is a new service called YouSendIt (www.yousendit.com) that allows you to host files up to 1GB. Basically you upload the file and it sends recepients a link.

You can then post the link up and then anybody can access it. There is no download limit and the service is free.

I know the guys doing it and they have like crazy bandwidth on the backend so speed shouldn't be a problem.

I uploaded a video of the guages in my car going from 25mph to 130mph, and the link works fine when I try it from my e-mail account, but when I post it here I get the following message: Your email message has been idle and this link has become inactive. To access the link, close this window and return to your MSN Hotmail Message. Then click the browser's Refresh button or close your message and reopen it.

Hi Josh,

I think you posted up a link to the email instead of a link to the file itself.

I cleaned it up and it worked.

Do you know how long they stay up? Because I really doubt that you could put such huge files up and have them be left there for a really long time. Anyways really good find!👍
 
so it only stays up for a week? hmm....well whatever. for a free host w/ decent download speeds..i'll just upload every week if i have to...haha
