Some cars seem out of scale?

Something I keep forgetting to bring up, has anyone else noticed the scale of the cars in GT5 seems to vary sometimes? For example something like the Chevelle, I know it's a big car but it's more like a truck in GT5.

I noticed this first when I saw one of the early demos though:

What's that big MPV next to the MX5? Oh, it's a Micra.

I can't tell if that's an NA or an NB - I think the latter.

NA MX5
Length 3970 mm 156 in
Width 1675 mm 65.9 in
Height 1235 mm 48.6 in

NB MX5
Length 3945 mm 155.3 in
Width 1678 mm 66.1 in
Height 1228 mm 48.3 in

K12 Micra
Length 3719 mm 146.4 in
Width 1660 mm 65.4 in
Height 1540 mm 60.6 in

Something's definitely up, according to those numbers. But the Micra is really tall compared to the MX5, the rest could be perspective?

Yeah some of the proportions are a little wrong too, annoyingly this includes my favourite car evah, the Miura, which is just too short and stubby in GT5! (Google it then compare)

Also the series 1 Elise has been a little wrong since it first showed up in the series, the front is too long and back is too short, whereas in the real world the cabin is pretty much central, when viewed from the side. In GT it looks like it needs to go on a diet.

The series 2 looks tons better though :)

The actual video is probably still somewhere way down the news section, unless Jordan has a cut off point for older items. It definitely looks huge, but for proof run a two player race and compare I guess!

alot of it could just be your perspective of when you see the car and at what angle.

take a smaller road width as an example, lets say nurburgring, from outside camera view, the cars look huge because the road is narrow and everything else is off in the distance so they appear small. then switch your view to cockpit and then it feels right.

I experienced this last night. Mostly I use bumper cam when racing, and it seemed like the camera was on the roof of the car for some reason. When I watched the replay, my car was way out of proportion (larger) than the other cars. I was racing Nordschleife in arcade mode. My car was an Alpha Romeo of some sort.
