Another good car orientated event for me was the preview to the JGTC which was on a motor channel yesterday on Sky. It was the first time I have seen the beasts on t.v and they looked amazing - I was like "hey thats the car I drive - I dont crash mine like that let me have a go!!" jaw1 :D :D :D
 
I'd like to catch some JGTC on television, but I don't think that will ever come to the States. There's too big of a demand for NASCar and NASTruck ... I'd like to build a demand for REAL racing.

Next time its on sky is 5th may I think ( Doh! Do you get the same channels ?? I 've never thought of that ) Its on a channel called Motors I think
And I dont want to sound weird but JGTC wont ever go to another country cos its the japanese championships - like the B.T.C.C in Britain is the British touring car championships - Have you been drinking LoudMusic????
 
Well, ESPN carries Sumo wrestling. Strange eh? And we get Scottish kaber tossing on TNN (or used to). The Lumberjack Challenge events were always my favorite. Oh, and the Strongman Contests were amazing. But for the automotive world, they all pretty much stick to local stuff. I watch about 5 minutes of a NASCar race at Texas Motor Speedway yesterday - only because I was there for the World's biggest single stage concert, Rockfest `97! Over 400,000 guests from 6am to 2am the next day. It was incredible - and that Speedway is HUGE.

Why do you think I've been drinking? I don't drink at all. You're just weird (:

Caber tossing is so cool. Those things are HUGE. I also like to catch some sailing, but that's not very big here either. These people just like things that go fast with really big engines. And wrecks make it all the better. The more mindless the events, the happier they are.

I am being a bit weird today - I've been at work since 8am this morning and its now ooh 7.30 and I'm here till 9pm tonight

Ahhh. There's nothing I like better than to toss a big caber! ;)

In reality, watching hairy-arsed Scotsmen (and remember, they wear kilts and no pants, so you do know that they're hairy arsed!) throwing telegraph poles has limited appeal. Normally I'm in the bar.

Actually, no, normally I'm in bed, since Highland Games tend to take place far north of Edinburgh, and that means I would have to be travelling when I'm normally sleeping! :sleep:
