If they are going to make this realistic then why are some of the guages like in this latest video do not even move? The needle is static. I really hope they fix this in the final release. I would love to see everything work when using the cockpit view and turn off the entire HUD for a true driving experience.

Wtf is a guage?

gauge

Some gauges like water temp, oil temp, voltage, oil pressure, etc barely change once a car is warmed up and driving.

@Micdog49

haha I thought so, saw too late you're from Australia..
but a non-english-speaking person maybe has trouble knowing what it is.

The oil pressure gauges only move on most cars when the oil pressure drops below a certain point. They work more like an on/off switch. Now, in the high end performance cars range I doubt they would use these "fake" meters.

They do change if faults start to occur.

KY said mechanical damage so when I rear-end some early braker I want to see my water temp start raising because my radiator is now leaking. After a couple incedents like that I am sure I/we would be alot more cautious of other drivers. /PUNTING!

The Amuse S2000 has working gauges on the A-pillar, noticed it the other night, was just having a quick go on Prologue. Had'nt really noticed it before, probably because I used to sit so far from the screen and really focused on driving, but now I've got my vr3 and wheel I sit much closer. I can't see them leaving a detail like this out of GT5.

not too worried about the gauges...let PD fix the magical hands through steering wheel when shifting...after that they can worry about gauges...

The fuel gauge has to work in GT5 and I'd expect the oil, water temperature and boost gauges to be working as well.

Apart from a volt meter (which should never change unless you virtual alternator develops a problem) what else would you need?

Perfect. I support this idea.

We end up having the front page of the forum flooded with "not so interesting" topics.

@ Maximumattack, fuel pressure gauge & egt air/fuel mix gauge.
Really?

This would be about all the car info I'd be able to handle whilst giving it the beans on the 'Ring

Ok I know it should be a Ruf dashboard for GT authenticity, here's the CTR3 cluster ;)

Anymore dials to look at & I'd risk crashing due to information overload :scared:

Depending on which car, most of the cars i've been in didn't have them i mentioned. They are i guess more likely to be extra gauges, attached to a pillar pod or on/in the dash somewhere.Hey wouldn't it be great to custom tailor your own car interior.Anyway back to topic.
