I don't mean to be a downer, but i have some serious doubts about some of things included in the new GTP site, like the 'complete track list' and 'complete car list' and stuff like that. As far as I see it, we won't know those lists until the game comes out, so that is pointless.

Also, on the GT4 screens gallery, in the cars list, it claims to be the complete list of 'each and every car in GT4' which it blatantly isn't. it's 50%. Can we change things a little?

EDIT: I have now changed the title to mean what i really wanted to say.

Er yeah that'd be another flaw. I changed the title to "some flaws in GTP6 i noticed" but the forum name hasnt changed.

An accurate, official list of cars for Gran Turismo 4 has not yet been made available by Polyphony Digital. Keep checking back for when the full list is released - it will be posted on this page immediately.

TBH I don't see the point in either of these two threads.

However if you think about it, what's the point of the entire GT4 section of this site. PD are so tight lipped about things, there's very rarely anything new and confirmed that's worth talking about. 99% of this section is just what might be or yet another wish list. On saying that, it would be wrong not to have a section just for GT4, just because when the odd snippet of information comes along, or we are treated to another movie clip, you need somewhere to post it and talk about your findings.

At the end of the day, if people don't agree with something on here, just ignore it.

yeah I suppose so, I must just be a little odd, (after all I do have the dolmio guy as my avatar) but I just find things like that a bit annoying. To be honest, most of these 50,000 posts or whatever have really been questions, and tens of times more questions than answers.

All I am really getting at, is that, obviously unlike some people, I don't really see what's so cool and new about the GTP site, after all that hard work changing it. Obviously I don't now what goes on inside...
 
Guys, the forums just opened late yesterday early this morning. Give it some time to break in. Everything has not been added or done.

That's sad. GTP is 10 times better then before , duh. :rolleyes:
 
I wasn't just referring to GTP, msot sites that do it seem that way. And Cosmic, can you give me five big reasons why GTP is 10 times better than before?
 
You're complaining about the car lists? Do you have anything better to do? :rolleyes: We had car lists before the games came out since GT2.
 
Few reasons , here you go...
1. New deisgn
2. New stuffs
3. More advanced image attachments (4 images at the same time (not url attachments)
 
I'm only going to guess, but I'm assuming a lot of the improvements are behind the scenes things that will improve the backend and mean a faster, more reliable service for us all. That's the point of most upgrades.
 
Okay maybe there is some improvement, but the site is still real slow for me. Slower than 512k suggests.

As for complaining about car lists, all I am saying is that why are they there already. I think that it would have made a little more sense to upgrade the site in line with GT4 but never mind. Obviously GTP5 was so bad you just couldn't wait...
 
If i remember correctly the host of those images wouldn't be able to host them anymore so the administrator of this site added them to the GTP database.Otherwise they would have been gone by now.

We don't have a complete car list yet, but these are all the cars that PD showcased at the E3 show earlier this year. And then you could point that page to the GT4 E3 screens gallery.

I'm not having a serious moan, I'm just saying that there are a few things that could be sorted out.

I think I missed your orginal point. I thought you were talking about people keeping posting the same stuff on here, or people endlessly going on about a game that's eyt to be released. I didn't know you were talking about GTP6. oppss

just accept it dammit, you complain too much when ts your site you do whatever you want meanwhile, its still new, so just chill

I don't dislike it, i just don't think it's really a great improvement over the old one. For the record, I am NOT ANGRY ABOUT IT!! Everyone seems to think that I really hate the new design! I don't!!
